      Still to be proven, he invested in hundreds of companies but his time is 24h, just like us. Customers and partners could not care less if you have peter jones or elon musk, what they care is to have a product that makes money. 65k pounds for 25% is ridiculous, with that money you do the paper work and a salary of 4 months of a person. People who do not realise it it is because they never worked in the field of company investment.

      me personally im against buybacks cuz it takes out the interest from the share holder to advance the company its not like he is counting on this business to succeed or elsewhere he will be in financial problems. if I were pitching my company I would make sure my well renowned business partner is very financially interested seeing this company booming even if he already got his money and some back. I actually would counter offer him 20% and a little royalty on the sales he closes that will extra motivate him to keep expanding the company. what do you think about my comment?

    I love Deborah’s approach with investments - if she isn’t 100% on the taste/smell of something for example, she can’t invest. It really does show how she does need to feel 100% behind the product itself and you could rely on her as a genuine investor 🥰

      Exactly this his connections could have got their already made brand into the eyes of millions, that 5% each wouldn't matter, I've never even seen this product in shops at this point a year later, they made a massive mistake not taking the deal or counter offering a ratchet down to 20%, which would leave them both with 30.5% each.

    The last statement about accepting the offer and regretting it in the morning was a bit strange, did those two not understand how it works? After the show it takes a while for all the due diligiance and paperwork to go through during which time one of the parties usually withdraws from the deal, isn't a silly low number of deals accepted that actually go through? With that in mind it's best to accept the deal then pull out if something better comes along, they all do it and some get better investment offers just from the exposure on the program.

      Totally agree mate,I've always thought just except cause if you don't you can't get it back. Then after accepting while due diligence is going on you can really weigh up the deal if it's fine then carry on but if you don't like it then pull out

      I think only dragons are allowed to pull out (if they find out something wrong with the business or something not declared out).
      So you can't decline the offer only dragons can.

      @@korana6308 I think either side can pull out just like any other legal contract, buying a house, etc. I don't think it would be fair for what is just a verbal agreement until it's signed to only count for one party. If you have another offer but couldn't take it and then the dragon pulls out you have no investor and have lost a load of time and given how often dragons pull out and how few of these offers are actually followed through I don't see how they can expect I dont see how they can expect entrepreneurs to wait if other offers are on the table for them.

      There isn't anything wrong with that statement. They produce honey (a natural healer), have been proven to be very smart (lots of documentaries cover this) and help sustain a healthy, natural environment.

    These guys missed a trick here. Everyone thinks that Fruit juice is a step above squash and a healthy alternative to fizzy drinks. Truth is a glass of pure fruit juice has a comparable sugar content to a glass of Coke. Now it's not.. Apples to apples 😉 as fruit juice does have health benefits that fizzy drinks don't but that means little to the diabetic or people trying to lose weight by cutting down on their sugar intake. This product is a step above squash and a truly healthy alternative to fizzy drinks AND to fruit juice.
    The small cartons are great for meal deals but the real market is as a mealtime beverage. You wouldn't buy ten little bottles at the supermarket you'd buy one or two large cartons for yourself and your family to have at breakfast and supper.

    They are trading and they name Boots, Waitrose etc. as stockists on their site, but they are not in all of their shops (or they haven't updated the map there). With Peter onboard, they would most likely have sold substantially more by know. They might have a larger stake in the company, but the overall pie is smaller than it would have been, had they accepted Peter's offer :) While I do think that, I also believe they should have countered with a buy-back option.

    They probably would have gotten Peter to commit at 20%. Dumb decision to turn down Peter, his connections would have gotten them listings in big chains over night. Better to have a small chunk of a big pie than a big chunk of a small pie. Hope they still exceed though

Some of these ride the loss for a few years then come out the other side highly profitable and valuable business BUT some can't sustain the losses and go under. Not saying these guys are losing money but just cause they turned over £5 million doesn't automatically mean they are making money
