Just a kind reminder, a lot of post war jeeps went to the postal service as delivery vehicles.

I have not heard them called jitterbugs before. I know them as doodlebugs or timber doodles. The tub needs repaired, but I want to use the jeep while I am repairing the tub. Thank you for featuring my Jeep.

Thanks for the comment! How cool. I've never heard them called timber doodles! I'll have to add it to my repertoire. Best of luck with the resto!

My fav of all time is a M38

MC (M38) was the best jeep. It was a Flatfender with a Go Devil engine, but it had Dana 44 rearend (CJ 2A: Dana 41), 5.38 axel ratios, 24 volt system which is military spec (CJ 2A: 6 volt) still had the T-90 trans and 4 speed Dana T-18 T-case with the 2.46 low ratio and 1" 1/4" shaft (CJ 2As might have 2.43 low ratio and 3/4" shaft). MCs were waterproofed for water and came with snorkles. It had all the best improvements that Flat Fenders jeeps came with and you still could use a PTO. MD (M38A1) were based of the CJ 5 and like the CJ 5s could come with a Dana 27 front end. Dana 27 front ends arent as strong as Dana 25s. According to 4Wheeler Magizne a stock Dana 25 is as strong as a stock Dana 30. Dana 30 is a modern axel that you can upgrade from stock to make the stronger than Dana 25, but in stock form they are same strength.

The only good Jeep is the one (or more) that you own. For me the only current good Jeeps are my 74 CJ-5, 1980 J-10, and 03 TJ. But the list includes every previous Jeep I have owned, which includes 88 XJ, 87 MJ, 72 Commando, 97 TJ, 78 Cherokee SJ, 73 Wagoneer, 73 J-4000, 78 J-10 and more I'm probably forgetting.

Great list. I’ve only had 1943 GPW, 96 ZJ, and 95 YJ. Strangely, never owned a CJ.

Hello , quisiera saber porque en muchos videos sobre el Willys casi siempre dicen que pesa un cuarto de tonelada cuando en realidad el cj2a pesa 969 kg o sea casi una tonelada

AMC and older Jeep's are the best Jeep vehicles, Chrysler / Daimler and newer, I'm sorry, but they just suck, FIAT = Fix It Again, Tony.
