Amazing results, you are truly blessed! The greenhouse has proven its worth, with our regular greenhouses the UV damage to the peppers leads to a lot of losses, and we don't get anything like the temperatures or sustained heat that you get in the US! It is the same in most of Europe, but not as bad in the Southern parts, Italy and Greece.
I was thinking exactly the same thing as Wanda when you almost passed by that purple pepper! You can picture those peppers with the variety of colours in a jar on the shelf, they would look gorgeous! Well done both, well deserved harvest for all the work and love that you invest in your growing! Thank you Danny for the information on the specifications of growlights, I was grateful for the advice! Take care, Vox.

Danny, I thought you might find this interesting. "Merlot" (pronounced mur-low) comes from Old French
Merlot is a dark blue-coloured wine grape, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to derive from the Old French "word for young blackbird, merlot, a diminutive of merle, the blackbird, probably from the color of the grape."

we had a great green pepper year also, and they were horrible seedlings, in May we were like, okay, no peppers this year, but might as well treat them like they are going to grow. Slowly but surely during a very hot droughty Michigan summer, these scrawny useless looking pepper plants have started producing and won't quit till it frosts. I freeze my peppers after I chop them up, use them in sauce's and soups. Your green house is amazing, wishing for one myself.

@@Kristina-mm9ih to me this is a quick soup. I'll try not to forget anything as I havent written this one down for family. I love to cook and for some reason even tho I can't remember why I got up and went to the kitchen-i can remember recipes! 😆
      I use
1 lb ground burger(i use venison or chuck but i bet even ground turkey would be fine)
2 slices of bacon fried and crumbled
      1 large onion diced
4 cloves garlic minced fine or 2 teaspoons granulated garlic(you can do less if its not a favorite)
1/2 cup red wine(can be omitted if you dont use alcohol)
      1 tablespoon olive oil
One big rib of celery diced
2 big bell peppers deseeded and diced(i use both red and green but yellow loses its color in the soup)
1 cup precooked rice (i use rice a lot and even freeze it cooked for fast meals) I'm sure instant rice would do but I think about 1/2 uncooked if y'all use it.
      1 to 2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper(both salt and pepper can be adjusted to your tastes)
1 quart stewed(or just diced tomatoes skinned if fresh, I can't do the skins they bother my stomach i also deseed for same reason but its fine if you don't)
1 pint tomato sauce (or if you are short on sauce I've used a can of tomato soup with the water not milk )
1 teaspoon Oregano(with the herbs, if you've got fresh use it but I think you double the amount fresh)
      1/2 teaspoon basil
      1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes(also to taste)
I start by frying the bacon till crisp but not too hard. Save the grease and put the bacon aside.
I add the olive oil and fry up the onion/garlic and meat till just lightly browned. Now you can drain out the extra oil/grease if it looks like too much extra. My venison is usually very lean and sucks it up.
I add the wine and simmer it in the meat mixture till the alcohol is cooked out.
Then just add all the rest if the ingredients in even the bacon or like my hubby likes you can keep the bacon as a topping for the finished dish.
Simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour (or plop it into the crock pot on low for about 4 hours or on high for about 2 or so)
Then just serve with some nice bread or garlic bread.
All the spices can be adjusted to your favorite. The only thing I didn't like thst I add to my stuffed bell peppers is the nutmeg. For some reason I put it in my stuffed peppers and love it, but in the soup not so much.
If your stuffed pepper recipe has different spices and herbs play around till you find your special blend.
I've also added 2 cups chopped cabbage and a small jar of sauerkraut and called it cabbage roll soup.
Hope you like it as much as we do. 🥰

Danny, do you have solar backup power at all? You seem to prep with food and can be self sufficient on food and water, but are you prepared for power outages? Is there a reason that you pick your produce early like your peppers, ever your bells you pick small. I've always wondered why you do that. Please, answer if possible, really curious.
Wanda, do you dehydrate anything? Peppers are wonderful dehydrated to throw into a whole lot of dishes...

Point made! Fewer plants needed for high yields of produce if you grow in a greenhouse. You don't fight the weather, pests, diseases as much, your plants are beautiful! I was wondering, not sure about your area, but pepper plants can grow as perennials and if you could leave them growing? Thanks for the video, I can't believe how much food you grew from so few plants!
