Huge pepper plants :) Guys, everything you've put your hands to this year is blessed and overflowing! :) God is good.
Our greenhouse is being delivered on 9/23. I am so excited! I will go back through your playlist to see what you have regarding more greenhouse info. Love you guys.
This was a beautiful pepper harvest!!!!! It was unexpected which makes it even better. I took your advice and pushed my plants this year. I had THE BEST pepper year ever!!! I've got several gallon and quart size bags of peppers in my freezer and I am so happy.
I love harvesting videos I just watched The Veggie Boys oh my goodness 600 acres of picking perfection, now this I’m in heaven 😂
Those look beautiful and I got lot of peppers too really like those grow lights so happy y'all got your greenhouses Thanks for sharing God Bless sweet friend's.
Amazing results, you are truly blessed! The greenhouse has proven its worth, with our regular greenhouses the UV damage to the peppers leads to a lot of losses, and we don't get anything like the temperatures or sustained heat that you get in the US! It is the same in most of Europe, but not as bad in the Southern parts, Italy and Greece.
I was thinking exactly the same thing as Wanda when you almost passed by that purple pepper! You can picture those peppers with the variety of colours in a jar on the shelf, they would look gorgeous! Well done both, well deserved harvest for all the work and love that you invest in your growing! Thank you Danny for the information on the specifications of growlights, I was grateful for the advice! Take care, Vox.
Those are some HAPPY PLANTS!!! Gorgeous peppers! Thanks for sharing... Blessings....
We had the same thing. Purple peppers turning red. We didn't know they would do that either. May God Bless!
Wow!! What a massive pepper harvest my friends! Pepper after pepper after pepper! We love peppers down here as well and hope to one day achieve those type of harvests, great video Danny and Wanda and that grow light is an awesome addition to your greenhouse.
You are harvesting some great things too. Loved seeing your pineapples
I enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming! They are not called transformers they are called ballasts for the light fixtures
love how tall they are hope u enjoy eatting them
Those are huge plants. Blessings!
This year we planted the Murasaki purple pepper and the violet sparkle. Both I found out turn red after they turn purple. They're both really sweet when they get to the red stage. Just takes a little longer. Nice harvest of peppers!
I also have an abundance of banana peppers this year.
WOW!!!
Wow
That is some beautiful peppers!
Soooooo enjoyable to watch your excitement over the fruits of your hard labor. A bright spot in my day!🥰
You guys are great!
Make pepper jelly with those bell peppers!
Beautiful growth & harvest!
Nice harvest.
I was having absolutely no luck with my peppers this summer until I saw how well your peppers did in the greenhouse. I took the flimsy and dying survivors and placed them in our greenhouse. Now they are tall, dark green and producing like crazy. Thanks (once again) Danny and Miss Wanda.
Funny, my peppers never did so well, this is by far my best pepper year, all my green bells turn red and are large! Even my banana peppers are fat. The jalapeños are a little behind, but look good. My cucumbers on the other hand...... disappointment!
@@kleineroteHex My cucumbers did poorly in the greenhouse and I suspect it had something to do with infrequent pollonation. Just a guess.
@@buffalopatriot mine were outside, started out well, got a few cuces too, then they began wilting, first the blossoms and the started fruit - found spotted lanternfly babies, got rid of them, always watered, still the wilt took over... then the darn squash bugs attacked my squash and pumpkin plants, I dutifully checked and removed eggs and killed the bugs I found (they came from my neighbor I suspect, her zucchini wilted first)
That light looks awesome! Thx
Nice harvest!
Love your videos and the much needed advice and encouragement....Thank you both , be well ..😊💕🙏
Wow! Nice peppers!
Awesome harvest
That was awesome i love that green house.
Wow I just can’t get over how much produce you get from just a few plants in the green house. I plant a 30 foot row in my gardens for each variety and don’t get near the production you do. When I finally get a greenhouse up I may overdo it with the plants if mine is near as productive as yours is.
Just started watching you, I watch living traditions homestead, wherein Ms are you? I live in Ms. Enjoyed your video.
I had some turn red this year and I have a freezer full of peppers all kinds
Nice light, I use something similar. Very efficient lights that work great for growing.
How are the ponds and the fish in them doing ??
I love to see....
My peppers have been the only thing that I have had an abundance of this year. My tomatoes were small and sparse. My squash and cucumbers have not produced enough for 1 meal.
To dang many peppers at my place. Wife grew 14 piquin plants. So many plants from seed I had to make a new bed. Lol.
Danny, I thought you might find this interesting. "Merlot" (pronounced mur-low) comes from Old French
Merlot is a dark blue-coloured wine grape, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to derive from the Old French "word for young blackbird, merlot, a diminutive of merle, the blackbird, probably from the color of the grape."
(Credit goes to Definitions.net)
we had a great green pepper year also, and they were horrible seedlings, in May we were like, okay, no peppers this year, but might as well treat them like they are going to grow. Slowly but surely during a very hot droughty Michigan summer, these scrawny useless looking pepper plants have started producing and won't quit till it frosts. I freeze my peppers after I chop them up, use them in sauce's and soups. Your green house is amazing, wishing for one myself.
Ughhhhh love bugs 🙄 I recognized it as soon as you popped that gorgeous pepper off. Here in Picayune it feels like love bug season has been going strong for a month now. I laughed way too hard when you said "if y'all don't have love bugs, you're blessed." Ain't that the truth. 🤣
Awesome guys !!!! My peppers are loaded down too...bur in another 5-6 weeks they will be done......except for the 4 plants in the hoop house....they may make it well into November...barring a lengthy hard freeze.
So happy that you got grow lights !!!!! Danny , love your knowledge ! We are so blessed to have you!
Have you ever tried to make pepper jelly?
You're making me want a green house! Thank you for sharing your garden results with us!
You are the Peter Piper of the south lol! 😂
Danny picking a peck of peppers 🌶😀👍🏻🇺🇸
Excellent pepper harvest from outside plants here in southern Ohio, I think this was the year for peppers. Can't wait to get a greenhouse though!
PA as well, never had such beautiful peppers, lots and lots and they turn red before I know it😁
I love stuffed bell peppers! I would be making a big batch of filling and stuffing all of them for quick freezer meals. Nothing better than a freezer full of stuffed green peppers!!
A resturant near me makes a stuffed bell pepper soup that is the best. Of course they don't share the recipe but ive gotten close by just chopping all the ingredients and putting in a tomato soup base.
I havent gotten close on their Ruben soup. One day tho! Lol
@@Emeraldwitch30 That sounds amazing! Please share!!
@@Kristina-mm9ih to me this is a quick soup. I'll try not to forget anything as I havent written this one down for family. I love to cook and for some reason even tho I can't remember why I got up and went to the kitchen-i can remember recipes! 😆
I use
1 lb ground burger(i use venison or chuck but i bet even ground turkey would be fine)
2 slices of bacon fried and crumbled
1 large onion diced
4 cloves garlic minced fine or 2 teaspoons granulated garlic(you can do less if its not a favorite)
1/2 cup red wine(can be omitted if you dont use alcohol)
1 tablespoon olive oil
One big rib of celery diced
2 big bell peppers deseeded and diced(i use both red and green but yellow loses its color in the soup)
1 cup precooked rice (i use rice a lot and even freeze it cooked for fast meals) I'm sure instant rice would do but I think about 1/2 uncooked if y'all use it.
1 to 2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper(both salt and pepper can be adjusted to your tastes)
1 quart stewed(or just diced tomatoes skinned if fresh, I can't do the skins they bother my stomach i also deseed for same reason but its fine if you don't)
1 pint tomato sauce (or if you are short on sauce I've used a can of tomato soup with the water not milk )
1 teaspoon Oregano(with the herbs, if you've got fresh use it but I think you double the amount fresh)
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes(also to taste)
I start by frying the bacon till crisp but not too hard. Save the grease and put the bacon aside.
I add the olive oil and fry up the onion/garlic and meat till just lightly browned. Now you can drain out the extra oil/grease if it looks like too much extra. My venison is usually very lean and sucks it up.
I add the wine and simmer it in the meat mixture till the alcohol is cooked out.
Then just add all the rest if the ingredients in even the bacon or like my hubby likes you can keep the bacon as a topping for the finished dish.
Simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour (or plop it into the crock pot on low for about 4 hours or on high for about 2 or so)
Then just serve with some nice bread or garlic bread.
All the spices can be adjusted to your favorite. The only thing I didn't like thst I add to my stuffed bell peppers is the nutmeg. For some reason I put it in my stuffed peppers and love it, but in the soup not so much.
If your stuffed pepper recipe has different spices and herbs play around till you find your special blend.
I've also added 2 cups chopped cabbage and a small jar of sauerkraut and called it cabbage roll soup.
Hope you like it as much as we do. 🥰
@@Emeraldwitch30 Wow!! Thank you!! This sounds delish and I will make it!!!
@@Emeraldwitch30 I love your recipe and the suggestion to add cabbage. Thank you 😊🙏💕
God has blessed all your hard work
Pepper plants can be overwintered. Check it out.
We have kept some of ours for 3 years.
It seems lately I can’t cook without bell peppers, all colors.
So impressed with your growing! Makes me so anxious to get my greenhouse going
My peppers came on like that towards the end of the summer too and still cadillacin
Wow you too Hugh, my peppers, eggplant and tomatoes have gone all Summer and still loaded with blooms in my greenhouse. It's a blessing. God bless
Crazy good. Can you say about how much it cost for a green house that size?
That is a beautiful bucket full of peppers!!! WOW
Beautiful! Mark from Self Sufficient Me grows his peppers for up to three years (in Australia) I bet in the greenhouse you probably could keep yours going just as long. In fact he just posted that video just recently if you want to check him out.
We have kept some plants for 3 years.
Nice! ❤️
I have pepper envy!! I put my peppers in pots this year... and they are now finally putting on fruit. They seem to like to produce better in the heat. And do not mind less water. I always tend to overwater a bit. Your peppers are truly amazing. What do you fertilize them with? And how often?? I have never seen plants that tall!!
Calcium nitrate and liquid phosphorus from DR Earth Bloom and grow.
Wow, God blessing are amazing.
Wanda: I got my seeds from you today. Cherokee Tan Pumpkins and Danny Corn. Would you please tell me when I can start the seeds and plant them. Would appreciate it!! Thanks! ♥️♥️♥️
Depends on your location. Only after danger of frost has passed. We usually plant ours in mid March.
let them peppers grow till they die . let us see how long they grow . maybe years.pull off just 10 leaves and the plant will blossom again. amen brother
A greenhouse can give you fresh food year around once you get used to the rhythm of nature in a greenhouse. WooHoo! Worth the money and work you put in to get those greenhouses up. So many blessings - from what I hear from porch time, better put some us - this might be the last really good growing season. Also as a very old person - it is much easier when you have a controlled environment.
I had a jalapeño and banana pepper plant not produce fruit. They made flowers and then they fall off. Any suggestions?
Wow that is amazing
I heard peppers are perennials are you going keep the plants or start over with seed agian
Whoa ! I usually, wake up to Y'all, I need my morning DeepSouth Homestead videos, but never the lest , enjoyed it very much, go "Grow light " ! Thanks for sharing ! ❤️
That was amazing harvest you got there from your veggies garden an how do you get your bell peppers to grow big like that an keep up the good work there 👍👍
Calcium nitrate and liquid phosphorus.
I have had good luck with my peppers and have put up a bunch of bottles of pepper sauce. How do you keep peppers fresh after you pick them? If I don't do something with mine in a couple of days they start getting brown inside of them.
Peppers did the best here too. Also have several varieties turning red when they were supposed to be green.
How do your blackberries get pollinated in the greenhouse?
Our door is Open all day
Awesome content,Danny it’s about smoke house time please.Thank you y’all
I love going in the greenhouse and watching you gather the harvest. Digging potatoes is my favorite to do or watch. Beautiful plants you have. Those peppers are so pretty. ♥️♥️♥️
If I had several thousand dollars laying around might build me a greenhouse....and a big plot of land...
I purchased a 10’ x 12’ greenhouse from Harbor Freight for $499 and experimented with growing the same plants inside and outside in raised beds. Our cucumber plant nearly took over the whole greenhouse and has given us so many fruits, it’s unbelievable!!
So happy the green house is going to town!
Hi. Great harvest !! Do a taste test of purple n red pepper. Are the Marconi n Myster peppers hot? Do you sell seeds? Where did you get the Calif.Wonder seeds? N do you sell those seeds also? Could you mention of flash something on screen if hot, mild n where you bought the seeds or it you sell seeds. Thanks for the tour n harvest. Peace to you and yours
All these peppers are sweet. We're out of pepper seeds but Hoss Tool seeds may have some. Tell them Deep South sent you and you should get some free seeds.
I love your greenhouse. What kind is it?
16 x 36 from Grower's Solution 7 foot high sidewall
Amazing investment in those high tunnels.
All peppers do 100%better in a greenhouse all the way to frost greenhouse grower in Arkansas
Pepper plants are actually perennial bushes that we in the north grow as annuals.
I have looked all thru my past videos- I am trying to remember the name of the onions you planted (sweet harvest or something). You were pulling them up from the black ground cover. They were just growing on top. And also, did you start them from seed (and when to start). I'm in zone 7
Sweet harvest and Savanah sweet. We did start from seed in September
I have a year and a half old apricot tree grew from seed to put out blooms this week it looked like it was dying off due to the heat wave and now it’s blooming the tree is confused
Can you please tell me rhe size of the green houses you have purchased and which ones they are. You both are an inspiration to me and my family. Dondie Guess. Des Arc, Arkansas
16 x 36 7 foot high sidewall. www.growerssolution has a youtube dropbox that has our greenhouse listed. I believe the dropbox is on the left side of their site.

My peppers went crazy this year too in Zone 5. Some of the limbs pulled away with weight.
Yes,I too am in zone 5,and this is/was my best pepper year in a very long time. Hope that we have enough time to keep them going for a while longer.
Danny, do you have solar backup power at all? You seem to prep with food and can be self sufficient on food and water, but are you prepared for power outages? Is there a reason that you pick your produce early like your peppers, ever your bells you pick small. I've always wondered why you do that. Please, answer if possible, really curious.
Wanda, do you dehydrate anything? Peppers are wonderful dehydrated to throw into a whole lot of dishes...
What kind of gun are you carrying?
What do you do with them ? I have a 1/2 of a 1/2 bushel of them with so much more on the plant's. Will make salsa but what else ? That's a blessing. Thank's for sharing. Stay safe and healthy. God bless
I stuff some and freeze. Video in Crazy Dazes tonight or tomorrow. Cowboy candy with jalapeño dehydrate. Chop and freeze for future use
Since I have an abundance of peppers this year I pickled some.
I love pickled peppers. Not only for eating right out of jar,, but I add them ,chopped, to salads, stir fry, chicken salad,,,,
I'm glad your doing well. You deserve it.
I love to see in these crazy times your always prepared I have just noticed lately on some of your video's the prep on your hip!!
Those peppers are huge!
question: do you need pollinators in your greenhouse?
Yes we leave the doors open during the day. Close them at night.
Congrats on your lights, word of caution. Be sure to harden off your plants from the lights to sunlight.
FloraBama Homestead if the seedlings have been growing under LED lights, there is no need to harden off.
Do you have to use a grow light starting seeds even in a greenhouse?
It helps them grow faster and healthier.
@@DeepSouthHomestead Good to know, thanks. Will be putting up our own greenhouse so learning all I can watching what you guys do.
If i was half as smart as Danny is id be counting cards in Vegas. : )
Super harvest!
It about makes me cringe watching you pick those green peppers because I like them better ripe! Nice harvest! They are one of my favorite things to grow but I didn't get many peppers this year.
Leave them longer and you don't get much harvest.
Do you leave the light on day and night
Yes.
Are you still pushing your pepper plants?
Not anymore.
@@DeepSouthHomestead Thank You.
Great video
My peepers experienced sun scald, Beautiful peppers yall are growing.
Point made! Fewer plants needed for high yields of produce if you grow in a greenhouse. You don't fight the weather, pests, diseases as much, your plants are beautiful! I was wondering, not sure about your area, but pepper plants can grow as perennials and if you could leave them growing? Thanks for the video, I can't believe how much food you grew from so few plants!
Nice bell peppers
Hi first time I see Danny packing
