Elite level prospect who dealt with a big injury while already being a being a rookie with 2 established pass catchers already there. He’s healthy now, dominating camp, year 2 wr breakout, Ravens felt so confident in him they were comfortable trading hollywood away. It’s gonna be a target funnel between bateman and andrews. Not to mention their runningbacks are still not healthy

Dobbins isn't fully healthy, leaving Mike Davis to be the rb1 to start the season. And they'll be easing Dobbins in when hr starts playing. I do think Bateman is a solid grab in later rounds. Andrews will soak up a lot of the defense and Bateman is the clear #2. I can see a 900-1000yd season. Top 24 might be his ceiling, but I don't think it's as out of the question as this clip suggests.

The 1.3 yards per route run is an almost irrelevant stat because of how vast the difference in usage between Baltimore’s wr1 and their other wrs. Aside from their wr1 in Hollywood brown, all of the other wrs in 2021 had a negligible role. The wr1 is the only one in Baltimore that stays on the field and that is bateman this year without a doubt. There’s a reason he’s going too 55 on underdog, he is a smash pick in casual drafts where you can get him much later than that.

His rookie year wasn’t laughable, when targeted he was efficient and Lamar clearly liked Bateman behind Hollywood and mark but there aren’t enough targets to go around in Baltimore, With brown out he will be the clear number 1 receiver who is in a much better situation then Hollywood was last season considering that Hollywood had to share his targets with mark and Bateman. Bateman will only have to share with mark.

I feel like all your takes miss the point when it comes to drafting. It's not about "Are they forsure a top 24 WR?" Depending on the build of your team, it's about the upside of players. If he drops to the 7th round, I'm gonna take him on upside alone.

I somewhat get the take and its certainly within the range of outcomes but its almost hypocritical to not say Andrews will show regression then given your argument about the passing offense potentially declining to ~400 attempts. Andrews would need a 35% target share to get 140 targets alone which is unrealistic even with the vacated targets from Hollywood. So you can't necessarily have it both ways.
With the RB room starting off rickety and Lamar focusing on bulking and becoming a better passer this offszn I could see the Ravens hitting ~500 pass attempts this year which is still ~100 less than last year but more than '19/20.
Bateman could realistically command a ~25% tgt share in this offense given the lack of weapons, his talent / draft capital, and his health / rapport w Lamar this training camp = ~125 tgts. In games with Lamar, Bateman had a 70% catch rate and 12.9 Y/R, so he could finish somewhere around the 88 rec 1130 rec yard mark. Throw in 4-6 TDs due to positive TD regression (had zero with LJ last year) and thats a T24 finish right there.

Pittman doubled his yardage despite Indy being in the bottom 6 in pass attempts. Finished as WR16.

well imo the difference is that aj is a proven top wr even with a run heavy offense and is the #1 option for the eagles, compared to bateman who isnt nearly as proven and isnt getting targets like aj brown is

@@paulbatol7707 I'm not saying that bateman won't go off this year, as he definitely can, but I feel that Brown isn't in a similar situation as brown is the number one option in his offense, just like andrews is the number 1 recieving option on baltimore. Also baltimore did not run the ball nearly as much last year when hollywood blossomed but are poised to return to a majority rushing team. Again, he could still be great, but I feel like bateman and brown have different situations.

There are some major changes between last year and this year that should make a difference. More time to acclimate to the offense, no injury, less target competition, more time to develop chemistry…
Also most people aren’t drafting Bateman as a top 24 WR, his ADP puts him in the WR30+ range.

A WR won't have much success in Baltimore as long as Lamar Jackson is the QB. Mark Andrew's will be the only consistent pass catcher as a TE.
Hollywood had success as a WR and he's not even a true #1 imo. Bateman has way more upside.

@Master Baiters I dislike the Ravens. Rashod Bateman has the perfect set up to be his team's WR1. That's good enough for WR3 fantasy numbers at worst.
