Steve really breaks it down to perfection, insane player and elite analyst
Man it's hard to not love Steve Smith
Making his point for HOF
Ravens could have gotten Smith when he was STILL in his prime! But DIDN'T due it's "Standards And Practices!!!"
@@georgeturner301 i don't recall that. Panthers drafted him as a kick returner basically. Took him a couple of years to blossom there, they extended him, gave him a healthy contract after, then he came to the Ravens...
You ever met him? I have the dudes a punk not cool at all. True story
I’ve watched this clip and the full version of all the top WR’s at least 5x’s and I love the way Steve talks football.
If y’all post this again… I’m going to watch it!
Steve is good stuff love listening to him talk about prospects
Baltimore definitely needs too hire Steve Sr 😂 day one fan
Always a Raven # 89!
Always a Panther
@@reillywilliamson1047 No ,Steve Smith made the panthers!
Great work everyone!
Absolutely love Steve. Mr. Smith you are my number one receiver all time don't care.
Same here, especially knowing talent where he see's it
This video was great!! You got a new subscriber 💪🏾 #RavensFlock.
Week 1 In the books, looks like this was a good take on Flowers,he does look really good
Steve Smith is the best. GO RAVENS!!! WE MISS YOU, STEVE.
Steve Smith should really be Shannon's Sharpe's replacement! Steve has the best story telling, says how it is, and actually has insightful great takes.
He would literally murder Skip, no way😂
@@BSHU07 Lol right, Steve does actual analysis. Skip is about bs narratives
Steve wouldn't work with Skip what are you on lmao
He'd put skip ass to bed for being mouthy. Steve is zero tolerance demon lol
Watched for a long time. had a research tool Q.. where do you get your qb throw distribution graphics from? was researching and closest I could find was googling "next gen" + player name and clicking images tab and then searching through that nonsense. next gen doesn't have a dedicated site? tbh not seeing it if they do. part 2 is impossible maybe, trying to get this info on college qbs.
Steve Smith Sr. Truly is the inspiration to all of us “undersized” quick twitch athletes everywhere 🐃🦅
I could only imagine if the ravens some how drafted Steve or obtained him earlier in his career with a pre concussion anquan would do...
Ravens fans here. I have to say that I'm saturated with former sports stars who think they're automatically a great fit to comment on their sport. And I'm going to give full disclosure here:
1. I did find myself calling Steve "mini me" but that had more to do with the fact that the Ravens NEVER seemed to be able to bring in a dominant, tall, bullying true #1 WR. In his prime, Steve was ABSOLUTELY a true #1 WR despite his height. But once a player loses 1/2 a step things tend to shift. And I felt that by the time Steve came to the Ravens he wasn't the same receiver as in his prime. But he still was the best receiver on the team, IMO.
2. At times I got angry at Steve (and at Derek Mason) for getting unsportsmanlike penalties called on them for no discernible reason. That's a drop in veteran leadership IMO.
Now...having said that...Steve's breakdown of Zay was the best I've ever heard. (And that includes that great guy who did the breakdown of personnel on the Sun board, Filmstudy.) I think Steve should be coaching WRs in the NFL, and helping GMs pick the right WRs. (I do kinda wonder though if there's some kind of "short guy" WR secret society that meets to keep the love flowing for WRs that aren't 6'4" tall.) 😀
Thanks for bringing 100+% while you were with the Ravens, Steve. (I wish one day you'd break down the weird dynamics on the Ravens coaching staff. I know it's taking its toll on the players. It seems to me that John Harbaugh is more concerned with being loyal to former associates than he is with doing everything that needs to be done to put his players in the best possible position to win. Personally, I think Harbaugh is the weak link in the chain, and it's inexcusable when your own head coach loses games for the team due to his brain dead game day decisions. I also think Harbaugh hurts the team by benching rookies who make mistakes. By the time they've proven themselves to Harbaugh they're gone -- because the F.O. can't seem to figure out how to sign people BEFORE their contract runs out.)
Interesting comment. I agree for the most part. Steve said something like - "How tall is Zay Flowers? Playmaker tall! He just makes plays!" We've had some of our best get unsportsmanlike calls. I remember that penalty fest in Detroit, and I think it was Suggs who was so frustrated he picked up a flag and flung it into the crowd😆 drawing another flag😆 Harbs has had varying success on challenges. Many times it's obvious - don't challenge - but he does! Loses time outs needlessly.🤦 Probably need someone else upstairs. And the 4th down "analytics" calls were killers way too often. Weak link might be a little strong though, because he does have some strong points as a CEO type coach who doesn't micromanage. On hiring assistants - he excels on defense and special teams coaches, but he's been pretty poor on OC's up until now. This team looks strong and complete except for Edge and a maybe a better CB2.
@@johnparsons1466 Respect! (Suggs chucking the refs flag was memorable.) The Ravens have at least made some progress as far as offensive support goes. We'll see. If things click they can win it all. But it always takes some luck to win it all. And if Lamar plays in every game, the Ravens can win every game. He's proven that.
Yikes at the first part of #1 but I can get down with most of the rest. I think having players that bring an edge is good for a team at times though & can make a unit special. Especially if they’re a great player as well, which guys like Steve and Marcus Peters are exactly that.
It is so frustrating how the Ravens have failed their approach at the receiver position historically. When the best ones ever are guys like Torrey Smith and Hollywood (both good starting wrs but not dominant 1s) that says something.
@@DirectFireDave Boldin was their best WR, along with SSS. I agree, Ravens have been a mess with their WR drafting/development. We've drafted quite a few WRs that just didn't pan out.
@@joshholmes1372 yeah those two and Mason. Anquan and Steve were brought in when they were late stage vets so those feel like they don’t really count to me (but also says a lot that those are the best.)
Bro has perfected his craft. He spills knowledge
Ive seen this already the heck
lookin like he was spot on about zay !!!!
I gotta get his jersey
Small size? That’s what they said about Ray Lewis. Skill is skill.
Does Steve work for underdog
Steve Smith knows his shit.
Just drafted Flowers in the 15th round lol
"Mommy" 🤣🤣🤣.
He says mommy 😂😂
Zay Flowers is going to get love just damn alot of wideouts with Bateman Andrews flowers and Beckham. I guess its not too bad when Beckham or Bateman goes down. I own close to 0 flowers now I'm sad.
Bateman is a bust and Odell is a WR3
Bateman isnt a bust. He has been injured.
im worried because he reminds me a lot of Tavon Austin. like when I see him run he looks like his size but hes not as shifty or fast as tavon. hes close. its like 90percent.. BUT Thats why im worried lol.
Well based reports from camp, Flowers is the best WR on the team already and “ it’s not even close”… already looking better than Odell.. so we’ll see if he keeps it up during the season
He's very shifty

Why are you reposting these?
Fair question. Via YT analytics, 89% of the people watching these clips are not subscribed to the channel, so shorter clips compared to the long 37 minute version are obviously bringing new people in.
Flock. Steves gang
Odbj and Bateman not going really have to do to much especially once the running game get going
Blocking!
They gonna pass a lot more than years past. Believe that.
CB is a hard position to play💨
zaybae
They compare y'all but you built like a linebacker and got the chip on the shoulder.
YES SIR
IF (YOU) SAY SO
THEN THATS WHAT IT IS
"PAY ATTENTION" !
Steve smith has been saying only good things about literally ever WR that has come out of the draft lol…
i noticed that 😂
Not Quentin Johnson. He thinks he is deeply flawed
Steve Smith should replace Shannon Sharpe!!!!
36 catches 460 yards 3TDs
Thata a nice Week 1 statline
I agree second season he should be solid but, I just though about it Beckham going to get hurt. 50/50 on Bateman and Andrews targets might go down. I'm still scared of flowers though.
Way off
Anthony Schwartz
Mommy
Lol it could b Jerry Rice in his prime it won't mean shit with Lamar at QB just watch EVERYONE blame Odell is old or didn't recover or Zay and Bateman r still 2 raw. Lamar couple more hits away from retirement also he can't even throw a slant! Mark Andrews is the ONLY lock for a good season in this receiver death vally...AGAIN
Mark Andrews is not even A GOOD LOCK ALL HE HAS BECOME IS A BIG TARGET FOR DEFENCES TO EXPOSE LIKE THEY DID TOD HEAP ....I SEE HIM ALL BEAT UP AND BROKE DOWN BEFORE LAMAR ...WHO WILL SOON FOLLOW ...
Zay Flowers has Steve Smith to thank for being drafted so high. TBH I don't see what he sees. I see an undersized WR who will probably just play a lot of slot. I'm a big proponent of wide catch radius. That is synonymous with height and arm length.
