War drums are unbreakable because the dudes are so into whatever song they're playing they don't notice the rest of the army dying.

Drummers have traditionally been the backbone of armies so it does make sense that if the drummers there the fight is still on... in Cathay's situation it's the only form of Zen they have left. You can't have yin without yang or the world falls from balance, nevermind it's currently overrun with rats.

Set them to skirmish and they outrun and outrange nearly every unit while doing ridiculous damage.

its unbreakable because you could focus fire them to get rid of there buffs by focus fiering them into a quicke breake, this way they stay longer and since they dont have any other impact on the battlefield it would create a 1-2 punch stratagie that is not only ez but always the optimal play.
Why are war drums unbreakable......obviously because they are marching to their own beat....
