  • In this video tutorial for RuiDa RD Works we will look at the basic functions of setting Layer Parameters, and How to organize them in the order. You wish to process them on your Co2 Laser.
    We will also look at the Parameter Library, and demonstrate how to use it to create a library of your own cutting parameters that you can use on any future laser work job.
    MW Laser Membership and Support - Now Available at www.buymeacoffee.com/mwlaser
    How to modify cutting properties
    How to apply the parameters in the layer parameter library
    I do not be provide cutting parameters in this video for different materials. The settings I am using to demonstrate are what I commonly use for 3mm Plyboard and MDF on my 90W Laser Machine. In a future video I aim to demonstrate a few methods I use to determine the best cutting parameters for various materials.

    Hello, I wanted to ask you if the program has the frame function (the one that makes the route of the RUIDA controller button) excellent video

    • @MWLaser
      @MWLaser  Před 3 lety

      Yes, it is in the "Laser Work" window Button Labelled "GO SCALE" - after pressing button enter the speed you wish the "frame" to move. Cheers Matt

    I was cutting today and the power went out. I was able to start over from original position but that meant the laser had to go over previously cut. Is there a way to restart it at a certain point? I'm using RDC6445G

    Any video regards price reveal above building your own laser machine. ..like separate video shows all the components and materials actual cost..just to compare the risk and the benifits. To observe the reality between buying and building ...thanks.

      not sure what your doing here, but if you require more layers than RD Works Has - Try LightBurn Software it has about 29 layer options

      Sometimes if the items are a group, exploding them might make them appear when imported to RD works. I notice when an array is drawn in Autocad for example, the group of items that is output, wont appear unless exploded.

    • @MWLaser

      This is set in Vendor Tools, for each axis the size is entered in the "Breadth" Field
