  • In this video I go over some basic operations you should know on your dsp Ruida controller. You will be able to use these tips to dial in your speed and power quicker than going back and forth between your software and the controller. This is a great video for the beginner that hasn’t spent much time using your laser Ruida dsp controller.

    Golly, just getting back to this tutorial. My brother restored a burned up Laser for me and my sister and it is the garage, ready to go. We intend to run projects from the controller. I took notes while watching your tutorial and will type them up tonight. I am the older sister and my other sister my sidekick. We work together. I need to get a galvanized pail for emergency. So far we have managed not to burn up any lasers.

      I highly recommend a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher. Not cheap but if you did have a fire it would, save you laser water in a laser is not good at all.

    Hi Robert, depending on your needs you can also adjust the layer settings faster. load the file you need, and press enter. The layer speed/power is available to adjust. It saves you from having to start/pause the file and then scroll through the menu to get to the settings.

    Hello Robert! Those layer settings, the one where you paused the machine to change to 350 speed and then to 325 speed, do you have a video about how to change the layer settings in lightburn? Every time I run it the settings go to 4mm/s and I pause the job right away-change the speed-then start again but it still burns the crap out of my slate for a second or 2 before the desired speed kicks in...

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Před 2 lety

      I do see a slight lag sometimes when doing this, the only way to change in lightburn is to open layer and change the speed or power setting and re send the job to the contoller. if you change the setting in lightburn it doesn’t take effect until the project is resent back to the laser.thank for watching

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Před 11 měsíci

      if you use start (not recommended) or send when you hold the shift key down you don’t need to do anything at the controller.

    If you have multiple "layers", is it possible to select a specific layer from the laser control without having to run the entire program?

    • @computercreationz

      no that has to be done in lightburn through the output button on that specific layer

    Hi just bought my laser and trying to grab info from quality sites. Do you know how to set the laser finishing position. Lightburn says it has to be done on the controller but it's not obvious. Thanks for your time.

    • @computercreationz
      @computercreationz  Před 2 lety

      using user origin will start and finish your laser in the same position. you have to set the origin on the control panel by pushing the origin button. I have a video that describes each start from function.

    • @jasepotts2865
      @jasepotts2865 Před 2 lety

      @@computercreationz Thanks for replying so quickly but after reading the lightburn manual and watching their videos it appeared to suggest that you could select a separate finishing position other than the standard user set origin.

      @@computercreationz After some time of getting experience with a diode laser and LightBurn, I am considering getting a CO2 laser now. However, compared to diode laser, CO2 machines have different controllers and from what I understand, they are not controlled directly by LightBurn. I was interested in seeing how the software (LightBurn) works with Ruida-controlled lasers (you have covered much of that here, without showing the PC screen). Also, there are other controllers, e.g., Trocen (AWC708S). Would these perform similar to Ruida, or is Ruida the way to go for those wanting to work with LightBurn? Thanks!

      do you have something on the bed when it’s down. usually mine will fire reguardless do where the z bed is. it’s you just can see it because the laser beam is so far out of focus.
