WWI is actually White Woman's Instagram, but I totally read it as World War 1 the first time I saw it too haha. the boburnham subreddit has a better picture of it where you can see everything a bit better

just wanted to say a big thanks for giving your unique reaction to some pretty subtly heavy stuff. I used to stream on Twitch but couldn't keep it up mentally after a year or so. It's hard to do what you're doing and just make sure whatever you do with this channel, put your mental health first always. I still haven't recovered and most days feel like I'll never cross this road but I have to believe we all get to the other side eventually

The Dump đ© was interesting because itâs the only piece I can think of from all of Inside orOuttakes that exemplifies ego or grandiosity.
Felt so called out during the peanut butter part xD I eat peanut butter staight out of the jar often as my depression "meal". I would mix it with yogurt and granola but even doing that is too overwhelming, plus I don't want to use a bowl for it cause I would have to wash it afterwards, so straight from the jar it is. >.
I think he did the lights with laminate paper over the spotlight, that probably has a tiny hole in the paper to make the beam affect

"it's a good way to do it" (in regards to shooting multiple takes)
you are aware that this is pretty standard and common in film, correct? to do takes over, and over, and over and over again, regardless if the takes look fine to us. its not that those other takes exist because he messed up rendering them unusable, but because they either weren't up to Bo's standards in what he wants out of himself, or just to have extra footage options. keep in mind, he's the director as well. multiple takes aren't always just because its obvious he "messed up" (to us). its for coverage, as well as him being happy with it enough to that it meets his standards in terms of how it looks, sounds, and feels to him.

Edit: Just to be clear, thereâs nothing wrong with this, neither in the individual takes nor in the process. It speaks to Boâs genius and Chrisâ connection with the material that details could be hiding anything.

When analysing a piece of media, sometimes the artistâs intention matters less than what you, as a consumer, can take from it :) Iâm a huge fan of Chris, personally, I like how he tries to look into it all rather than just filming himself watching the video with the occasional chuckle
@@joshphillips5238 oh yeah I donât think thereâs anything wrong with it, I just think itâs interesting to see people who came to Bo through âInsideâ then worked backwards through his catalog where his material is less heavy and dense. Because I was the exact opposite, I have followed Bo from the beginning and although I have always liked him, I wouldnât have guessed heâd have put out something as mind-blowing as âInside.â Although, once he did, it made perfect sense in hindsight.
Trust me, I was an English major, I have been pulling obtuse takes out of my ass and writing them down since the millennium. But it doesnât always have to have deeper meaning, sometimes just playing with language, ideas, visuals, is enough of a point. Sometimes the answer to âI wonder why he did thatâ can just be âbecause it looks cool.â
Basically, Iâll refer you to when George Carlin pointed out that, âSigmund Freud said âsometimes a cigar is just a cigar;â and Carlin replies âand sometimes itâs a big brown dick.ââ
@@Tiban there is nothing wrong with it and I understand why he does it, I just think itâs funny. âInsideâ is such a dense text that Chris is (quite understandably) looking for hidden meaning in every minute detail.
When an artist puts their work out into the world it no longer belongs to them. It belongs to the audience and they can make of it what they will.
