There's tons of movie soundbites/dialogue on their early EP's and especially the album Wild World. I bet that all of them are film buffs

Well done to Anna Conrad for remembering that HAL went made because he knew the mission was a lie. An often overlooked detail.

And the other myth about actors being abused and never working with him again.
    1) Many actors pick up injuries during filming. No-one died like some other films.
    2) Peter Sellers, Leonard Rossitor, Phillip Stone, Steven Berkoff, Joe Turkell... All came back and I'm sure I've forgotten some.
    3) Leon Vitali (Lord Bullingdon in Barry Lyndon) quit his promising acting career to work for Kubrick for the remainder of the latter's life.
Clearly not all actors had issues with Kubrick.

Yet another propagation of the myth about Kubrick pulling the film because of "copycat" crimes.
    1) The crimes weren't really copycat. The criminals (and teir lawyers) just blamed it as an easy out.
    2) As his daughter has pointed out, if they were dressed like Droogs how easy should it have been to spot them?
    3) It's a matter of record that Kubrick received death threats from people who blamed him for the "copycat" crimes. That's why he pulled it, for his family's protection.
    GQ check your facts!
