I went to an outdoor show of his in Houston once and I was standing there in front of the stage waiting on the opening act and looked and Paul was standing right beside me , like he was waiting on the show too, talked to me like I was his old buddy for 10 to 15 minutes, genuinely nice guy.

Hearing Paul solo at an intimate show in Indiana, he set up this song with an explanation about its inspiration. It involved his "night owl" (his words) sister, and his frequent after-show calls to her. The song title/hook comes from her reply to his apology for calling so late. Now I'll always associate that sibling bond with this beautiful long song.
