Argh, maybe it's just me but....I just can't help but feel that all these rapid-fire releases from them cheapen the feel of the brand a bit. It's so much, so quickly. (And I say this as someone who genuinely loves the palettes I have...!)
I have to agree with that. I dont really care about these and abh paletts and Hourglass scattered light are the only things I use on my eyes..
Same, I also think the amount of nearly identical shades, the number-letter shade naming and the haphazard color scheme just make it feel less like a coordinated launch and more like a disorganized rush to get these palettes out before a set time period. The fact that they're not manufactured in the US (unlike the other palettes) don't necessarily mean the quality is bad, but it definitely makes me less interested in picking these up.
Yeah, I have to agree as well. When ABH released their two palettes per year it felt so special and like they were putting a lot of thought and care into the quality and color story, etc. These palettes have been so similar this year. Riviera, Alyssa Edwards, Jackie Aina, and now the THREE Norvina palettes?!?!?! Granted the Norvina palettes have A LOT more variety, but all the colors in the smaller palettes can prob be found in one of the Norvinas. And there are a lot of similarities between the three smaller palettes as well. The quality is great of course, but it's like they arent caring about putting out a really unique, special palette for us anymore and are just putting out money grabs. Remember when the colors in their palettes were so unique and havent been seen before and they were the ones to start color story trends?!?!?
Absolutely agree!! I told her kind of the same by twitter, (a lot of people was mentioning the same) and her answer was that the third palette was not on time! I think that her marketing strategy this year was not good!

Finally! I’ve been watching so many tutorials and reviews about this palette, but this is the first one where someone actually creates something nice with a little sense of colour theory instead of just packing on all colors in one go.... You deserve your PR-package!

I played with this today & was really expecting not to be impressed but WOW is it beautiful & the texture is divine. So smooth & creamy. I must have Vol 2 those shimmers & teals are stunning.
I really liked all the looks. I actually thought you looked outstanding with the two different looks on your eyes. It was like a painting

Beautiful colours and very stunning eye looks Mel, you rock! I am overwhelmed also....I have about 6 palettes and that is enough for me. I get a lot of wear from those and many colours are included. I am 60...I love colour but I stay more subdued for work. With eyes like yours though I’d go bold!! Thanks for the inspiration, as always. ❤️🇨🇦👍

Now that things have died down. I got this pallette. The pigments were so good and soft and vivid. I’m happy I got it now. I needed some time to pass to see if I needed it. Also- used a coupon so that is always good! I’m glad Mel makes these videos so I can come back to them as needed

Vol 2 looks stunning! I'm so happy with my Vol 1 so I'm def grabbing Vol 2!! Vol 3 however... I might skip that one, it's my least favorite color story of the 3. But I'm kinda suffering from the "gotta catch 'em all" mentality with these 3 palettes so maybe I'm also gonna buy Vol 3. 🤷♀️

Only you can create astonishingly great looks with any palette but more so with pressed pigments. It’s such a Joy watching you work. Thank you Mel.

Who is buying all of these palettes? Seriously. There are so many launches that it’s a full time job just keeping up. I have no interest in working with pressed pigments. The last ABH palette I bought was Sultry. I simply haven’t liked anything since. You look stunning in these editorial looks, but I really can’t pull them off and they don’t suit my lifestyle. I really appreciate your videos because you satisfy my curiosity. But, I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of new product launches. I can’t be the only one. Love certain tones in this but not enough to buy it. After months of back and forth I finally got volume 3 in the spring sale and cannot wait to recreate some of your looks from that video!

This palette reminds me of a rubics cube! Thankyou for review so far vol 1 and 2 don't tickley fancy as I find these bright colors intimidating, maybe vol 3 is much more neutral muted wearable?
I feel like it looks more wearable. I like the look of both of Vol 1 and 2 but I wouldn't use it enough to justify.

ABH releases used to feel cool and thought out. Now it’s the “Fast Fashion” of makeup and I’ve lost interest in the brand. I think they’re cannibalizing their own consumers because now instead of each release seeming fresh and having a theme, I feel like they’re jumbled colours stuffed into a palette and you just have to wait a week for another option. How many of us need or would use that many bright colours consistently enough to make it worth the hefty price tag?
That's why I bought the naked honey palette instead. Needed a warm neutral palette anyway.
Lindsay Hoffman i feel where you’re coming from but this palette is a “pro” palette made for mostly makeup artists and hyper makeup fans, it’s not for everyone but there also needs to be colourful options for thoughts who wish. 😌
I actually wear these types of looks every time I go out. I don't do neutral looks even when I try to it always ends up being bright and colorful 💁
Its technically supposed to be for professional makeup artists. However I have the 2nd one and idk if its just mine but I've never had an abh palette with such little fallout.. I'm actually impressed with that aspect of it.
@@melanielangham7033 I thought the same thing! Way less kickup. The formula is really nice and smooth. I thought I would only maybe buy one so I went with vol 2 (because I liked all of the bright colors) but I like the formula so much, now want all of them 😭
Beautiful looks ! My favorite was your last look ❤️ my favorite palette is the first One too. I love pinks and purples. But some of the blues were really pretty.
Lovely look Mel. I am not an ABH palette fan but I still liked your vid because your one of my favourite youtubers, if not favourite. Analysising ABH current releases I feel as though the ingredients must have cheapen, to have such larger pans, more shadows and only a slight increase in price. That to me does not augur well for more sophisticated buyers. Her brand's appearance now resembles that of Morphe to me, with all the constant releases. It is almost as if she is not thinking about customer fatigue and how it can impact her bottomline. I personally had hope to like this brand like everyone else but after 3 palettes I conclude it is not the best out there and so I prefer brands like Viseart, Inglot, ND etc. I am yet to try Pat McGrath so I will keep editing my kit to have products I love rather than those that are hyped. I did get the Jackie Aina though because as a dark brown gurl, she has been one of the few dark skin youtubers I can get consistent reviews from over the years. So it is my way to say thanks Jackie.

I noticed that the fuchsia color is staining...the pallete is great overall but a little hard to work because of the huge pigmentation!! I love your looks ❤️

I’m definitely getting Vol. 2 (Blue is my favorite color) even though I probably won’t hardly ever use the palette. I think I’ll get Vol. 3 as well as it appears more wearable for me everyday! I’m someone who will do my entire face except eyeshadow but some things are for the collector in me.
Do you have the inside track? Is ABH selling and they need to push out stock? LOL They're not who I think of when thinking of release release release.
