"How To" video number 5: The Impossible!
Impossibles are an old school trick that still have that modern, awesome vibe. It can be super contentious depending on how vertical you spin them, with naysayers often shouting, "360 shove it!"
Like always, this is mainly an overview of how I personally break down and do the trick. If it didn't answer all of your questions or you need specific help, feel free to leave a comment below.

Remember when this trick came to our town in the late 80's. First time we saw a guy do it: woow!

Mario Barone haha yeah, i learned after that that's not actually a pressure flip, more of a vertical pop shove it
VLSkate its called a pressure hardflip well thats what i call it since its going the same vertical motion as a muska style hardflip just less steez without flick but i still prefer pressure hardflips over muska style. Both variants arent fontside varial flips either which is a true hardflip
07 grimdrummer dude look at my channel i have nollie and normal pressure hardflips on lock
i promise its a pressure hardflip the way to tell if its a flipping backside or frontside is look at the trick where you can see his toes not his heel and if the graphic shows to spectators its a hardflip but if its the grip you see at his toes point spectator view its a pressureflip or an inward heel

does a hard flip. calls it a pressure flip... thats like drawing a masterpiece and calling it a doodle

It was a pop shuv, if you watch closely the board never flips.
@@shatterpointgames imo it just seems like it never flips because of this angle. once i recorder my hardflip from this angle and was like "oh gosh so i don't do hardflip but a pop shove it?!" then i recorded it from other angles and i could clearly see that it actually flips. plus watch very closely the tail - imo it goes the way front shove would.

I am always impressed how you do the tricks in your driveway and your neighbors don’t flip constantly. I have people coming from 100 of meters away threatening to call the police when I try to skate a little. ☹️

I randomly tried an impossible today and landed it first try. Didnt even really think about it. Been getting it bolts all day. All it takes is practice people!

great tutorials! I like to see it at breakfast. I realized if I want to learn a trick, I have to do it, that's clear, but eventually I get it, happens, if I lose my rational thoughts about it, I just let it run right, have fun and just focus on that Movement of my hands and arms. I really like to see this in motion, when I try to learn a new trick, I have to store that information, the movement of the upper body, sometimes I miss the whole body movement in your tutorials. Either way, they help a lot, thank you for your great investment in this love.

LMAO, i got here bc i’ve never attempted imposibles but have always done that motion just to catch my board and realized i could probably learn impossibles pretty easily

So i can do strawberry cheesecakes very good i can even add a 180 and i think that rly helped me learn a impossible because of the backfoot scope motion

Hey VLSkate, this is a really helpful video! I have been landing impossibles, although I'm facing quite an odd issue with them-- Every time I land one, I always land with both feet on the nose so I end up leaning on one side and have to quickly shift my feet on the bolts in order to roll away. Any suggestions on how to avoid that?
P.S. If anybody out there in the comments section can help me out, that'd be great too.

I’m having a lot of trouble landing my front foot on the board. I have the wrap and the trick itself perfectly but I can never jump high enough to land with my front foot on the board. Any tips on getting more height with my front foot?
