All lives matter no matter how big or small. Glad Eldad has respect for all creatures. :) I used to rescue snails from the pavement when I was a kid, because I didn't want them being stepped on. I collected both snails and rolly pollies, hoarded them in my tricycle basket, and would release them somewhere far from the road. I'd end up with hundreds of them at a time. It never hurts to have compassion for every living creature. :)

I boarded and delivered toonies pups:) 12 total 3 stillborn, 9 beautiful pups. I eventually adopted toonie as my own, she is well and living her best life with my other two kids:) She has come so far, makes me smile just thinking about it...
Nothing makes me smile more and gives me such joy as watching these sweet babies be rescued....ALL of them! THANK YOU!

1.knowing these animals had a hard life time and knowing they were suffering day and night over and over.

There's no need to feel bad (': They probably would've naturally seperated from each other anyway- they form bonds differently from us. Now that they were both safe, Tooney could focus on caring for her babies, and Sully was free to go have a home of his own. Once Tooney's puppies grow up, she'll move on too, to her own home. It's natural and they're both happy.

Dog's actually do form bonds like we do. They cry if they lose their mate or friend. They can become depressed. Just because they're an animal doesn't mean they can't form a bond that shouldn't be separated. I had a male king Doberman and a female Doberman that had a litter of puppies, the female didn't want to give up her puppies at 8 weeks so we kept them an extra month. When we finally found homes for most of them she wouldn't give up one of the puppies. Eventually she died and the male used to whine and cry and go to the spot in the yard that we buried her and lay there for hours. The puppy was five then and would comfort the male by licking him and laying with him.
@RockMuzek @HollyThornheart Oh, I guess I worded that wrong! I'm really sorry, that was a rather stupid choice of words, now that I think about it. They do form bonds just like us; I meant that a lot of times, once pups grow up they separate from their parents and that it's completely natural (though humans do the exact same thing, now that I think about it). So obviously there will be instances that the bond between a parent and their offspring is "stronger" than usual and they won't want to separate. But I also trust the rescuers, and I'm sure that if Tooney and Sully suffered that much from being apart, they would've made an effort to keep them together- and it's possible they still meet from time to time ('': But I totally messed up on expressing that, my bad! (I'm sad to hear about your Doberman, Rock, it's nice that the male still had the puppy to comfort him.)
Psixi&Co I have two cats that were born of the same liter. Anyways, I adopted the brother that was born with only three legs and my son’s gf at the time adopted the sister. When my son and his then gf split up, we could not separate the cats. Kuro, which is the sister wasn’t having it as she takes care of Stumpy (her brother) and Stumpy wasn’t having it either, so I ended up having to keep Kuro. Anyways, my point is, is that animals absolutely form bonds as we humans do and I don’t believe it was a good idea to separate these two. However, if they are both doing well and thriving, then more power to them.
When I saw the pregnant Pitbull, then the German Shepard, I knew those were gonna be beautiful puppies.

i feel like he did though... they stayed together this whole time. most times you find a pregnant dog by herself , not with another dog. :/ they were a family. they were in it together. but most importantly they are happy and healthy now and not living under that abandoned school.

The way Sully and Tooney looked after each other was so touching. I realise the answer is that they needed homes more than to stay together but it still tugs at me that they were separated

Gotta look at dislikes from a different perspective. Maybe, just maybe they don’t like what people have done to these animals but it doesn’t necessarily mean that they don’t like what hope for paws does! Seriously, how can they not?! If they don’t like what HFP does, their opinion shouldn’t matter to any of us that are endeared by HFP rescues, love and care!

G Sage yes I agree with everything I have had 2 Pitbulls one died from a toumor but he was the one who changed my dad's friends mind about Pitbulls. He even let us burry Zeke (my very missed dog) at his house by a peaceful place by some pine trees (those were his favorite type of trees) now we have Torro who likes to eat ,sleep ,and play with us kids! He's never growled in his life!🙂
