- Come with us, & 2 local guides, on a 7 day road trip through some of Iceland's most spectacular waterfalls, glaciers and epic hiking as we chase the northern lights. Our 7 day Iceland itinerary was put together by Moment (the photography folks @shopmoment.com) (video is not sponsored) who were offering a trip of a lifetime - a week in the Icelandic wilderness with a professional photographer. I signed up because it looked amazing and the thing I most wanted to see: THE NORTHERN LIGHTS. This Iceland vlog takes you along with me and 9 other photo enthusiasts to explore some of the wildest parts of Iceland and chase the northern lights.

REMARKABLE. I WOULD LOVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS.
Espectacular!
Gracias!
The Northern Lights are elusive - the Sun has to be a bit frisky, coinciding with more or less clear skies, not very reliable in Iceland. It is best not to expect too much.
This is like when you have misplaced something: The best course of action (after you have searched everywhere) is to simply stop looking! Before you know it, you will stumble across the "lost" object. The Northern lights are a bit like that. Great expectations usually lead to great disappointment. I have lived in Iceland most of my life and the Northern Lights are a very fickle phenomenon. Absolutely breathtaking when they happen but nothing to build a schedule around.
Thanks - good points - the N lights are elusive for sure.
Amazing vid 😮
What month did you go?
October - ideal b/c tourist season wrapping up, good weather (not guarateed of course), and northn lights came out a few times! Maybe late Sept is safer weather-wise.
@@SwankGuide I’m going 1-12/9, will it still be packed with Americans? ;) just kidding of course..
I hope to be able to explore as you. I hope I can afford it. 😢😅
The huts we stayed in were super cheap - great option if you can live w-out fancy!

@@Bigmoney703 yup point taken.... sometimes I'm not sure folks understand how much goes into making all these vids... so I can get defensive at times. Anyway fair to point out... I shouldn't have links that don't work. Peace
