I think it's cool that Slipknot has a British guy in the band now, because one of their biggest fan bases in England. Plus Sid's family is from England. Good way to show some love.

Alex had really big shoes to fill being the replacement for Paul R.I.P and he has done really well and it seems that for the most part he has been welcomed with open arms by a lot of the maggots same with jay
Alex wasn’t use to wearing masks when he performed so in his first slipknot gig he fainted from heat exhaustion and had to play the rest of the 2 shows behind stage on a chair. Fact

He performed first two shows without fainting, he passed out in 2015 and his tech finished show, Corey said that Alex went with emergency to hospital.

So, if he's already using 2 DI's and the cab isn't miced up, what is the use of these mesa heads ?
I can only imagine it is just another tube D.I. that when it gets pushed generates its own unique flavour. From there it becomes the luxury of the FOH to blend in the perfect cocktail each night. I am more interested in why the 8x10? I am guessing as a total insurance plan in case the rig went haywire. Throw a mic on the cab and the show goes on but I have no clue.
Tube amplifier such as his Mesa needs to be connected to cab, if you run it unconnected it will blow up.
Probably just for stage volume.
@@jcmoore5819 On a Slipknot show they run IEM and the amps are too far from stage to make a difference, really I still wonder the use

I saw someone say on another video in the comments that he was a guitar tech that Jim knew.
I believe he was a tech for Coheed and Cambria, who slipknot toured with on the AHIG album cycle. Possibly met on that tour, and remained friends.

Average band member height is 6'4. excluding corey and jay. Alessandro is 6'6, root is 6'4 and mick is 6'5.....

He never used an SVT, Paul was always a Peavy guy, he only used SVT 8X10 cabs on the first tours.
