Supermarket Own Brand Coke Dissolved my Egg Shell

OH MY GOD LOOKED WHAT HAPPENED TO MY EGG.
I saw on CZcams a video which a man put an egg in vinegar and it dissolved his egg, so i checked out the ph of coca cola and found that it is the same ph as vinegar PH 2.7 so i thought i would try it with some coke from my fav supermarket morrisons
not only did it dissolve the shell of the egg it tasted like coke lol

Exactly. Of course soda is not good for us, and is acidic, so it will ruin your teeth if you do not brush afterwards. However, our stomachs secrete acid, and that does not dissolve our bodies. Get real people.

Hardly surprising. Citric acid will dissolve an eggshell, so will vinegar. Both can be consumed by humans without a problem.
Cola is basically candy-water, in general, not good for you due to the sugar content. A glass of orange juice generally has about half as much sugar, still at about 4 tablespoons of sugar per serving, even orange juice is not the best idea.

Man, if you put the whole egg with the shell in your stomach, just the same will happen since it produces HCl and uses it to dissolve food.

I have done some research into this Lyne and normally our bodies can cope by releasing calcium in to the blood to counter act the acid from the coke ..its only when we don't have enough calcium in our system that the body then takes it from our bones

Yeah, this is nasty stuff. I've seen videos where people put eggs into cola for a whole year... the results are not pretty, haha. But it's heavy to see what happens even within one day only.
