    Great looking sight, and your review, just might get me to put one on. The following take as you will;
    Slow down on your plate drills. Accuracy first, and the speed will come with time and muscle memory. This advice comes from a steel plate competitor that started with a wheel gun at the age of 12, drawing from a leather owb holster.
    Thanks Josh for the review, as always I appreciate all you do🫵👍

    Great video , To me its like letting walmart into your town then walmart essentially taking out the towns own businesses. But to each they own

    Impressive, having several different ones over the years and seeing each of the short comings….this is very impressive and the price point is a game changer…thanks for the review. I will be installing one on a couple of different pistols….

    In the shot string where the plate breaks off of the post we can tell that you are riding the reset and pressing again immediately when you hear/feel the trigger reset. That is a bad habit for several reasons. Not only is it a slower and usually less accurate way of shooting, but more importantly the timing or pace of resetting the trigger is dictating when you fire again. You should be deciding when to fire based on visual input. A better method is resetting the trigger during recoil, and you are probably doing that during faster shooting weather you know it or not.

      I was intentionally slow firing to make sure it was hitting where the dot was to check it was still zeroed. But yes i agree with you

    I like the idea of the Osight but I think that because it's a competition style RDS the structural integrity of the RDS will always be in question.

    • @PursuitofAccuracy
      @PursuitofAccuracy  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yeah I wouldn't want it as my duty dot but for range toys. I think it's just fine

    #6-40 screws are technically stronger and have more tensile strength than #6-32...
    In manufacturing you will generally use fine thread fasteners in harder materials and coarse thread fasteners in 'softer' materials

    • @PursuitofAccuracy
      @PursuitofAccuracy  Před měsícem

      That may be, but when a footprint universally uses one thread pattern not really a smart move to make it a different thread pitch

    thanks for the review it was refreshing to come across a positive review regarding the Osight, they sent me one to write a blog about but it was a blind tester where i had no idea what it even was til i received it and unfortunately i don't have a pistol with RMR footprint to mount it on so now I'm waiting for picatinny rail mount to be sent since it didn't come with one... Im curious to know if it will handle shotgun recoil, I haven't seen anyone post tests with one yet so I guess im going to put it on my Maverick 88 build and see how it goes!!!! although I would rather run a 32 moa on that set up. its tough since im hearing they never hold zero but yours did so that's good to hear..

    …and you lost a pistol challenge to a 48 year old GWOT Army 19K Veteran who identifies as an airgunner. You left that part out of your intro SIR! All kidding aside… great video. I’ve actually been looking at these and might buy one now.

    thank you for doing a great review, mine just came in today so i'm stoked to try it out..... i'm kind of tired of other reviewers doing a torture test like throwing big ol rocks on it and all kinds of other crap. do people realllllly treat their firearms that poorly?! sorry but i'm not gonna allow myself to throw my gun off a bridge and think its gonna 100% hold up lol

    The screws are because sig want you to only buy their products. It's like Apple products. I prefer CZ handguns and Android phones.

      Lol i do also love some cz handguns. Just got a kadet kit for my shadow 2 and got a ts2 hanging around as well. Cant go wrong with cz

      I received an email from Olight about their new red dot. I'm actually glad you did a review on them. I own a couple of their weapon lights, and they are very well made, like most of their products. I ordered the new cz shadow 2 compact. That may be the optic I put on it. Good review. Thanks for making the video.

    Oh, I also forgot to mention I appreciate your review for the reasons of being just coming from a regular guy and not some super gung ho John Wick type that wants to beat the crap out of everything 🤣I think those that would appreciate it are not Leo or military personnel, I would have to agree with some of the comments they got a little work to do to get it to that standard from what I’ve seen on some other reviews they’ve broken apart pretty quickly, but for the average Joe like myself it’s a good option I believe…

    I ordered this red dot. I have an Sig P320 x-carry. You mentioned that you had to order 6-40 screws. I can’t find anything definitive as to the length. What length did you order? There are several different style heads. Is there a particular head? Thanks!

      You would have to find 6-40 screws to direct mount it or an rmr plate

      @@watchyoutube9553 the IDPA target has a big zero down circle. My PCC rifles have 12moa C-More dots. Never found that to be too big. Everyone that shot them loved the dot size.

    Gen one is good for nothing but range or competition it needs work, so that being said, it is not for duty use. Yes, great features, but I'm not going to be a
    guinea pig. Fix the issues holding zero and durability, and the rest will follow, and no, I don't hate Olight, but there are better options for that price. There are too many bad reviews out there. I could be wrong, but I'll wait. Only features charging and size, and that's not a plus because there are other options and just for charging um NO!

  • @InvidiousIgnoramus

    Impressive. They managed to send out a review unit that holds zero and doesn't fall apart under normal use.
