LACMTA 2019 New Flyer XN60

On the day of the LA Rams Championship Parade in mid-February, I went to the Harbor Gateway Transit Center and from there I took the J (Silver) Line to the parade in Exposition Park. Due to increased demand, Metro put articulated XN60 buses on selected trips on the 910, which were mainly those operated by Division 18. I got there early enough to be able to catch one of these trips, which happened to be operated by 8714, part of the first batch of XN60s delivered to Metro in 2019 which replaced the 9200-series NABI 60-BRTs. This also marked the first time since February 2020 that I paid for a bus ride on Metro as fares have resumed since early January, although Metro is currently offering half off on day and monthly passes which I took advantage of, although when I used my TAP card on the bus it wouldn’t work properly for some reason so the driver simply let me through.
Enjoy this ride along the Harbor Transitway as we travel from Harbor Gateway Transit Center to the 37th St/USC station.

Looks like Metro is going regret ordering the standard-sized buses instead of the articulated buses for the J Line. The J Line needs to operate like the G Line.
