  • A #OneWeek100People warm up sketch of Zach Pinsent from ‪@pinsenttailoring‬. This is also my first try at making a vertical video. It's my understanding that if you watch this on a phone CZcams will display it correctly! Otherwise - it's the black bars for you! Please enjoy this three minutes of ASMR sketching :) ~ marc | www.citizensketcher.com!

I am happy to have seen this video. Often, when I paint, I forget how to enjoy the process and I am overwhelmed by the anxiety of perfectly rendering the form while remaining within its margins. This video is wonderful and shows me how to make the sensation without respecting those constraints. Hope to see others. Thank you (English is not my language, l hope to have explained well my thought, sorry)

He's a great choice of subject for this challenge. It's great to watch your process :)

Marc Holmes! I’d like soooo much to paint just a little bit like you… Why oh why does it look so simple when it is not at all! And how many more years will I need so my watercolors start looking a bit better? I have your book, it is great, and so are your videos! And I already learned a great deal form you. Thanks for everything!

It's amazing how careful and slow each stroke is laid yet how loose and free the final result is!

Thanks, and yes! Go slow to go fast. :) I try to pre-visualize what mark I want to make.

Loved the article on Drawing people in motion(which is how I found your you tube channel). Any chance you could do a video demonstration of that technique?
