    I have had SO many questions about cooking oils lately, so I wanted to make this video to help simplify and clarify the best and worst oils to cook with. Let me know if you have any questions. XO - Dani

      Good video! But what about grapeseed oil? I use it for it's high heat as well as nutritional value. Is it a bad oil to use?

      Thank you so much for this video! I was wondering about grape seed oil and sesame seed oil, and if those are good oils to use? Also, what about sunflower oil that is cold pressed (I believe Trader Joe’s for example has cold pressed sunflower seed oil)? Or does that still go through a lot of processing?

    This video was almost perfect timing. I recently started to purge my kitchen from all the processed foods with the bad oils and it is a challenge! Almost everything has soybean oil and vegetable oils. I realize now the benefits of cooking and baking from scratch. Your video just reaffirmed that what I was doing was good. Love your content! Thanks for the videos!

    Thank you so much for doing this video. It just backs up what I have been researching and learning. I’ve learned so much after finding your channel back in October. I’ve even got my sister hooked to. Two years ago I didn’t have a choice but to change my life style all the way around. It has been challenging especially since the majority of stuff we buy have SO MANY unhealthy ingredients. You don’t really realize it until you have to start reading the ingredients and studying up on what they are. It’s a shame that we keep getting told that everyone needs to start eat healthy but what is ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YA SO MANY CANNOT AFFORD IT CAUSE ITS SO EXPENSIVE. REALLY SAD 😞 It’s no wonder the US has the worst diet out there with all that is allowed to go in our foods. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK THAT YOU DO💖😀

    Thank you for making this. • @mlenay83
      @mlenay83 Před 2 lety +10

      @@GabijaS18 I have done lots of research including seeing specialists and the one main thing that is consistent is coconut fats is not all its cracked up to be. I've seen several Doctors including cardiologist and dietians they all tell me it's not good for my heart I think I'll go with that. It's just frustrating there is so many conflicting recommendations...

    • @lanak3674
      @lanak3674 Před 2 lety +6

      I agree with the doctor. And I think the opinion of a doctor should be held higher. Dani is partial to coconut oil; you can see this if you've watched her cooking videos. While I enjoy much of her content and recipes, I have to disagree here. It is not as simple as "mother nature" vs. "the factory." Unprocessed foods like saturated fat can be 100% bad for the heart. There is a wealth of scientific evidence to back this up, so it is not something any one person can accurately dismiss.
      Cook with bare minimum oil. Fat must be reasonably limited because it is very calorie-dense. To include healthy fats, dress salads with avocado/olive oil, add modest portions of nuts and seeds, and add a small knob of butter or some olive oil to cooked pasta and grains.

    • @CleanandDeliciousDani
      @CleanandDeliciousDani  Před 2 lety +37

      I get it! It can be crazy-making... but coconut oil is NOT horrible for cholesterol (processed flours, sugars and low-quality oils are the culprits). I would be curious about your doctor's nutritional knowledge and background. Most Dr.'s don't have a lot of nutritional education (no slight towards your doctor). The food industry is dominated by subsidized crops (aka soy, corn, wheat, etc) and so they have the loudest voices. It's important that we dig deep and do our own research. Happy to support you however I can!
