- In northwestern Syria, families make a living scouring through dangerous dumps for treasures they can sell. The job could make them sick - even kill them - but in a country that's suffering a major economic crisis, it's often the only choice they have.

Why Kids Risk Getting Buried Alive By Trash In Syria's 'Valley of Death' | Risky Business
Not me complaining about having to go into work soon, while watching this video, in my warm comfy bed, bills paid, and stomach full...
Even me, with unpaid bills.
its all relative bro
The struggles of one do not invalidate those of another.
They should stop having so many kids

Yeah that part really hit the heart.
Such heart-wrenching lyrics the boy sang, it depicts helplessness, yet despair for hope.

*i truly hope and pray that he somehow gets those sheep, if i personally had the means i'd help him realize this goal*
Be honest with yourself, would you really help him though if given an opportunity? Here in America we have so many homeless why not help the people here in our own backyard? In my city there are thousands who need help.
@user-bm6xz6pq5z America is fucked. If you try and support the homeless they will just use the money for nefarious things, and take advantage of your kindness. I've witnessed this too many times for you to tell me otherwise.

Is it unfair to throw away their food? Would you pay shipping and handling to accommodate the needy? At night Panera, gives away their food to the homeless, maybe get a job there and help?
Both are connected
Its just the logistics of getting that food over there
We have people here who are too lazy to work and just leech off the system because it's easy.
Hard times make strong men. They will overcome this.
Some of these parents look super clean while their children look like a mess from working! These people shouldn’t be having kids!!

Dude I thought the exact same. Mum and dad are clean, nice clothes. Doesnt look like theyve spent a minute in the trash. Leaving it to their poor kids.

It's pathetic. Disgusting!
I guess that's why some of them have 4+ kids while in the midst of a horrible situation. Free labor. I won't even have kids even though I would have enough to provide for them. It's a garbage time in history to raise a family. We need less of us.
So if the father knows he's not going to find work why doesn't he go to the landfill every day instead of the boys?

@@iotaje1 not sure I understand the question. Much of poorer non-western countries (Australia being counted as western) can be viewed as colonies with distributed ownership by transnational corporations. Take my home country of Russia, for example. The west in general and EU in particular supported the regime of Putin up until 2 years ago, which included nice business deals where they bought what was stolen from Russians and a supply of weapons "for internal use only", so that the business can keep flowing. Now Russians who had no say in this are blamed and taken of the list of humans possessing any rights (many of the sanctions against simple Russians within the EU clearly violate ECHR). And they still buy stolen Russian resources (especially ridiculous in the EU, who declared Putin illegitimate president)! How is this not colonialism?
