Your hair looks really good despite it not being what you were looking for.
Too bad you don't care for the smell. I think you may like the cream better but if you don't like the smell, then don't bother.
Congrats, I see you're almost to 1,000 subscribers.

Thank you! I don't mind the smell of the leave in or DC, but the gel is just too strong. I still want to try the cream so I might break down and buy it. My hair didn't look as good as I would've liked but it was soft.

Your hair came out great. Love the make up look and the color of your shirt brings your makeup out

Your hair is beautiful. I use these products, but for me I prefer all the Adwoa products except for the cream gel. I didn't care for the consistency or the level of hold for my hair it was frizzed. I do love the style cream much better paired with the leave-in. My twist outs are moisturizing and defined. I also get about four days of definition before having to redo my hair. One thing I did notice I applied a little more of the product to my hair than normal and it provided a better result.
    Thanks for this review.

Thank you! I actually like the leave-in and the deep conditioner, it is just the smell that I can't get past. I do not care for the gel either, but a lot of people told the the style cream is really good. I haven't tried it yet and don't know if I will. Thanks for sharing your tips and for watching.

@@NaturalRaeRae you are absolutely right the fragrance is very strong. I don't like the smell either the only time I buy these products is when there is a sale other than that there are other products that are just as good or better for cheaper price.

You should try the cream. I get a full week of moisture and definition with the leave-in and cream. You'll probably get more moisture from the cream than the gel.

Thanks for the tip. A lot of people are saying they like the cream better. I will have to break down and buy the cream, I guess:)

Great review and beautiful results. I’m not good with doing twist out, can do a review on this?

Sorry it doesn’t look like you think it should. You are so right about the smell. It burned my eyes.
My suggestion: Shampoo, deep condition, leave in, oil and cream last. My twist out on my hair ( which is color treated) turned out shiny and I did not have to retwist nor did I have to add additional oil to make it shiny.
    BTW the undertone is vanilla.
Also one suggestion...please either turn down the music or turn up your microphone. It’s a little hard to hear over that music.

the smell has me scared to try, but i like CRN curl maker, so i may have to get with the gel.

I love this product. I don’t have a problem with the smell. The smell is pepperminty and fresh. For my hair type I need the oils because my hair is dry. I don’t get frizz. I get lots of definition. I liked her twist out.

Going back and watching this because I'm just getting around to jumping into Adwoa Beauty. I'm really liking the DC and will probably try the leave in next. I think I'll pass on the gel. Many influencers talk about the smell. All Things Mo said it was a "Pepto Bismal" smell. I think that's what you were searching for when you said it has an undertone of cherries...lol. After watching you for a few years and seeing how your twist outs normally look, I can see why this one was just "ok" for you. Like you said, not bad products, but you would probably want them to fit your regimen pretty much perfectly for the investment you'd be making with their prices. I'm a sucker for a scalp tingle, so that's why I think at least some of the products will work out for me. But, I'm still good on trying the gel.

Hey LaToya! The DC is nice and so is the Leave-in. The DC is very minty and made my eyes water a little while under the dryer, but it is still a good DC. The gel is a no for me; too many flakes. It may work better now, but I have so many gels that I like that I see no need to revisit it. A lot of people really like the twist cream; they say it's better than the gel. Let me know your thoughts on the products after you try them out.

Thanks for your honest review. I used the entire line to achieve a wash and go. The next day, my hair was dry, frizzy, and crunchy. The leave in and gel just did not work for me. I think it was too much oil and aloe vera for my low porosity strands. And don’t get me started on the smell! 😩

    • @NaturalRaeRae
      @NaturalRaeRae  Před 4 lety

I like the leave-in, but the gel and the SMELL, I can do without. I do want to try the cream, though. Everyone says the cream is better than the gel. Thanks for your comments and for tuning in!

Girl I understand you on my smell!!! I’m very sensitive to scents especially mint and girl I absolutely love this line but the smell is pretty overwhelming and that’s my only CON.... but I thought it was because my nose is so sensitive lol! I think using the oil on top makes it even stronger. So what I’ve learn is to not use the oil in the whole regimen since each one is so strong. I think the undertone is Vanilla... 😊

U did a excellent job with this review! I enjoy ur reviews.💜💜💜
I'm still trying to use up the Adwoa leave-in cond styler & curl defining cream for the reason you mention...it overwhelms me sometimes. Especially if I use multiple products. So I tend not to reach for it even tho I like the brand. However I do enjoy the DC & oil. I haven't tried the gel yet. When I use this line I only use one of the products & pair it with another brand to counteract the smell.
Thanks again for ur honest opinion. 🤗

I tried the products too and could not bare the smell. I did not get a lot of shine and tried to deal with the smell. I had to wash my hair and pillow.
