Hey Rae! Like you I did not like Melanin hair butter my hair just looked ashy and dull I said im never buying this again but recently I paired it with camille rose spiked honey mousse and I love it now. I'm even thinking about repurchasing it. It's a good combo for me

I love Obia Naturals. I don’t use twist creams and butters much, I mostly wear wash and gos and a lot of creams are heavy/sit on top of my low porosity hair. But I love their twist whip butter, sweet almond heavy cream (which is lightweight! Closer to a food whipping cream than a heavy hair cream), curl moisture cream and their curl enhancing custard. I used to use Inahsi naturals years ago and really enjoyed it, but it's not stocked anywhere but their site, and they don't have many sales so I often forget about them in favor of other brands that have more consistent sales. I'll definitely need to circle back on them, they have a lot more in their lines now.

Do you still like alikay naturals yogurt butter.. im wondering which is better or more moisture the as i am double butter vs alikay naturals yogurt

Oh no! That Aloe Whipped Butter Gel is gonna do absolutely NOTHING for a wash and go styler!! 😂 It so moisturizing & smells amazing but there is nothing “gel” like about it in regards to hold!! I see we have lots of the same “favs”.. but that’s all the time. I love your taste in products & I just love your videos period 🫶🏾🫶🏾

Love this video! It’s so wonderful when you’ve got your favorites on lock down. I’m down to 3 favorites. Definitely NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream. And 2 by Taliah Waajid; Curly Curl Cream, and the Curl Definer. I top off with Blue Magic hair grease and holding gel, then twist and forget it for 2 weeks. I do want to get at that Double Butter though! I’m an OG girl. ❤💕🥰

Hi Rae, I also love the CR Aloe Whipped Butter Gel for a twistout. I like Aunt Jackie's hydrate me leave in conditioning Creme and Creme of Nature butter and flaxseed cream pudding. I have been thinking of trying the og Shea Moisture Coconut smoothie. I used to use it when I first went natural. I will also think about some others on your list. Thanks for the video.

It’s very moisturizing… I paired it with either: Eco Styling Gel, or The Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Braid out Glaze, as a leave in. A little goes a long way!! Rae first of all .. I’m luvin your hair 🥰💙.. I’ve tried all of these except for the TreLuxe one .. my number 1 is NLS (my hair luv these ingredients 😊) but if I need to run to pick up some it will be African Pride then Pattern.. 😉

There are a few on your list I would like to try. As I am was also one of my number one leave-ins when I first started my natural hair journey. Yes, I love the curls blueberry milk very moisturizing on my high porosity hair. Thank you for sharing your favs.

Is there a different way that you would refresh a twist out that originated with leave in and mousse from the way you refresh your wash n gos that originated with leave in and gel? Do you still do the same thing of refreshing with a hair milk? How would you have refreshed this particular twist out? Thanks so much! I learn so much from you! 😊

at first i was using the African pride prepoo but now i use the Vo5 strawberries & cream conditioner cuz it was only $1.25 at family dollar & since im just using it to detangle & then rinsing it right back out, i don’t think it’s necessary to spend anymore than that lol but i did really love the African Pride prepoo tho… nothing against it at all

I did a prepoo today for the first time in a year. It's mostly because I have been wearing my hair out more rather than twists. I agree; using water with your prepoo is definitely a must. Back when I first went natural, I didn't use water, and I struggled with my very coily, fine-to-medium, high-porosity strands. I have noticed so many people with my particular hair type going back to relaxing, so it's important every natural learns to properly detangle. You are doing a public service, Rae.

Thanks so much because of you I have been treating my hair so much better. I had a good wash day this Saturday. A couple a weeks ago I had a bad wash day but when I saw your video on the just me pre poo and you did a comparison with African pride pre poo I looked at the way you was handling your hair I said to myself I’m going to start sectioning my hair to because I used to just wash my hair without sectioning now I wash in four sections. This video is even better. I’m going to follow this routine on my next wash day. Up and out and piano fingers . Yes 👍🏾 I’m going to save so much more hair now. I have to share this video with my sister.
