  • RH9 club (Japan`s elite tuners) had a secret test and tune day at sendai highland raceway Endless-R customer owned 1000hp+ R32 and Endless-R demo R35 GTR were running.
    This is the R32 in action, the owner was practicing his launch techniques but couldnt get it down to match his previous best of 9.01 @ 260kmh, he needs to use the hand brake but its a technique he hasnt used before. Hence why the starts are bad.

    Yea, I don't know why they are doing a dry hop as well. Something was a little off though, the terrible launches were the fastest? My kind of street car.

    • @motorsportJapan
      @motorsportJapan  Před 10 lety +4

      In Sendai there is a concrete area with water for people to get heat in their tires, then they lay the sticky rubber down while making sure that the car has 4wd engaged (in GTR) there is no VHT or trackk bite used in Japan, so the only way to try and get a sticky surface is for people to lay rubber down. End of the day it was getting colder and he used NOS to get his time up, terrible runs actually as in other video on here he ran 9.020 at same track while changing into 6th as he didnt want to go over 8k on the new engine..

    • @2tonfun
      @2tonfun Před 10 lety

      rh9endless If there is no VHT then you really should be carrying the burnout through the beams then backing up to sit on your burnout. Then you will be on top of the hot patch you laid out and you wont have scrubbed off the nice layer of hot rubber you have on your tire (which is what happens when you do a dry hop). Street tires need a dry hop to clean off the greasiness left from too much heat, a drag tire (radial or not) does not need or want that. The leave will be less trampy if you leave the heat in the tire. OS88 tranny?

      is it a terrible launch if it's faster????

    • @2tonfun
      @2tonfun Před 10 lety

      The numbers dont lie... The terrible launches were helped out with the NO2, thats why they were faster. Knew something was off.

    I never get why these guys still do static burnouts, whats up with that? if they knew what was really happening to their tyres I'd doubt they'd continue.

    • @danielr.l.mccullough600
      @danielr.l.mccullough600 Před 5 lety

      That is the point, it puts rubber on the track because rubber on rubber has more grip and that way they have less wheelspin on launch

    • @daviddoyodance3085
      @daviddoyodance3085 Před 5 lety +1

      @@danielr.l.mccullough600 agreed, they do it for more traction, if you can see after the burnout he hits a button, that allows him to go from RWD to AWD, He's tryna get more grip by during the burnout
