Solution makes sense. Same move as cracking an egg open. Very cool idea and play on solution.
I thought that about half way through "Why not try cracking it like, well, an egg?"
@@Dargonhuman RIP eggs
@@TheDailyEgg I'm sorry...
I thought that wasn't the solution but in the end, kinda cool it was...
That is a very excessive way of cracking open an egg.
My egg cracking technique is a little more traditional.
安 is a Chinese character, which means stable, comfortable and secure
Stable, comfortable, secure.... Sounds like my two jeavos when they're cupped inside my hands.
In Japanese it can also mean cheap or peace
safe.
Ironic - considering it's so easily opened.
+Root Is it possible that the Chinese character is a verb and it means "fit"?
there were two surprises. 1) you really did have to open it like an egg 2) birb 🐦🙌💞
The kanji on the egg is pronounced [an]. It is used in words such as yasui (easy/cheap), anzen (safe), anshin (calm) and antei (stability). I don't know why there is a square painted around the kanji. That isn't part of the character.
EDIT: The kanji basically connotes ease, tranquility and peace.
That’s an eggcellent puzzle. Very beautiful.
I LOVE that little bird. I want something like that, kinda like a prize, within every puzzle I solve. At least the puzzles that need opening.
安 means safe, relief, reasonable etc...
However with this case, 安 is comming from 安兵衛 (Yasube). The name of Akio Kamei's workshop.
Thank you for the information. ♥️
And typically a stamp like that indicates a name of the author or craftsman. Signatures for anything in general are done with official hanko stamps - bordered by a circle or square.
This also means "cheap" but it's definitely not related to this... Just pointing another meaning
I just read your comment using your voice... made my day.
RIP Mr. Connery
Hey Mr. Puzzle, been watching your channel before you even bought a new mic about 2 years ago! Crazy how you've evolved and improved and I just wanted to say I've always loved your work and am excited every week for your new videos. Keep up the amazing work!
Your amused laugh when you found the bird was very heartwarming :D
There is an egg experiment that says if you spin an egg hard enough on it's side, it will flip to it's smaller end.
I am glad you simulated that. Thank you
Beautifully made. LOVE the little bird inside. I like the simple and elegant solution too.
0:07 "it's eggtually" nice
I loved the little chick inside. So cute.
We know what came first, the chicken or the egg.
I find it very entertaining watching you. I love your sense of humor and your child like excitement.
Andt doo'nt vorget dat aczent!
I didn't kmow a puzzle could be made like this egg, the maker of this puzzle brings it to another level. Thank for for your video, please keep making it!
It's easy to open! ;-) But first you need to persuade a broody hen to cross the road to help you; then you have to get her to sit on it until it hatches...
Just like how you crack open an egg, position the "character" as knocking position. :D
I love the concept of tiny puzzle containers like this. wood so it has a classic/historic feel, with a real space inside that one could put a secret message or something tiny with great significance.
Plot twist: The solution is to break the egg like you would a normal egg
That's not a plot twist since it's exactly what happened
Sounds like it’s cracking too. That’s was so cool how realistic that was for a puzzle
That is seriously the cutest puzzle I've ever seen.
Can puzzles be cute?
Yes of course puzzles can be cute. That tiny chick is adorable!
Beautiful puzzle box, thank you for sharing .
brilliant design!
Seriously love your videos and I'm glad you're back after you got stung. Missed your vids
Thanks!
Welcome back, glad your hand is feeling better!!! I swear you're the Master of puzzles
Thanks!
as soon as you started tapping it I realized the solution would just be cracking the egg open
Awesome work Mr Puzzles!!! Love the VIDEO. Can't wait to see whats next
Glad you cracked the puzzle.
I usually don't know where to begin with these but I'm pretty proud that I thought "it's an egg so...crack it like an egg." The bird was a cute surprise!
This is great. It makes you think of designs for puzzles
Nice easy solve by Mr. Puzzle! Agreed about the mechanism, fairly simple in nature........... :)
Gorgeous and the solution makes sense, but very expensive for such a simple solution. I think mostly the price is because it's hand made from high quality materials.
Beautiful puzzle! I figured you had to use the stamped area in the solution.
Worth it just for the craftsmanship tbh.
Glad to see your hand is all better 😊
Eggstreamly smooth! 😂
Bionic Paul very smooth!
Your joke _cracks_ me up
I love this channel man, pretty calming and you have a great personality
Beautiful puzzle. Glad your hand is all healed up.
I love it!
Really enjoy your enthusiasm, Mr. Puzzle! (I say your intro with you...MISTER Puzzlle... LOL). Thank you for these wonderful videos. :)
That was cool.
Thank You for Your Video. Entertaining, and at times Funny.
Very cool puzzle, very cool solution, I like it a lot.
awesome!
Cracking!
I notice with these types of puzzle they seem to emphasize the art more than the puzzle. the clue always is a story the object is related to, they are very high quality workmanship, but most of the puzzles are simple.
Glad your hand is looking better!
Gorgeous puzzle and I like how it’s supposed to be “cracked” to open lol very smart
Wonderful puzzle and video!
Beautifully made ans a fun, simple solution. Like it.
4:38 Realizing you have played with the egg more than you tried to open it :D
Cute little chick. Very nice.
Mega gutes und interessantes Format!
Danke! 😁
I like it as a puzzle
(It's great for a piece of jewelry also)
A great video, too
Another good puzzle dad, looks very tactile indeed.
Glad you like it son
That is neat I like that
It was a smart puzzle !
I really like this puzzle even though it’s simple.
This is eggsactly what I needed to start my evening
🐣
Seit zwei Jahren verfolge ich deinen Kanal jetzt schon und wollte dich mal loben, für die Mühe, die du in deine Videos steckst und es ist schön zu sehen wie professionell deine Videos heute sind! Erinnert mich an Chris Ramsay, was aber durchaus positiv gemeint ist :) keep up the good work and cheers!
Danke, klasse Feedback! 😊
Egg-sellent craftsmanship. 🥚
If it kept Mr Puzzle puzzled, for over 10 minutes, then it's a puzzle.
I’d like one with gold inside for Christmas!
Mr. Puzzle, can you make a Playlist with JUST sequential discovery puzzles? They are my absolute favorite but hard to find specifically on CZcams.
Who's more smart? The persons that create the puzzle or the person that solves it?
Cool
That was a really cute puzzle solution
this is the second puzzle box i’ve bought. :D
very nice ring😘
Egg- cellent! 🐣
First time I guessed the solution before you started
A 'cracking' puzzle I didn't 'eggspect' that!!!!
I spent a couple of minutes of the video thinking about that cool wristwatch that you got.
Also, it gave me an idea for a puzzle. A wristwatch that opens like a dovetail puzzle but with a special feature/twist: to solve it, you need to open it at the right "time". So on one hand you need to figure out the trick of opening the wristwatch puzzle but on the other hand you cant even confirm it unless the hour or minute hand is in the exact position that it needs to be in order to unlock the dovetail mechanism.
Genius idea, or am i just insane.... or both?
On one hand 😁 you might be a genius. On the other hand 😁🤣 you might be crazy.. only time will tell 😏
@@keepingupwiththejoneses746 awesome pun. Based on keywords from my comment. No, you sir are also a crazy genius
@@donaldblevins5028 I appreciate the compliment (: although, I am a woman (:
@@keepingupwiththejoneses746 oops, sorry didnt know... now im embarrassed...
@@donaldblevins5028 no need. Nothing indicated either way (:
👍 enjoyed duckling backwards
Although it was easy, I actually really liked it
You need to use an egg timer
All the "egg" puns in the comments are great.
The references in this video that can be considered are great too.
Ha ha ha.
0:35 "at least the outer shell"
9:32"Not designed in the eggsactly same way, but the eggsecution is similar."
10:07 "nothing you would eggspect from a puzzle box"
Yes it's a very nice puzzle box with well eggsecuted theme elements, and eggcelent craftsmanship.
Being handmade and limited quantities makes them eggspensive, but because of those facts and it being a great product, in the end it is understandable if you just to have to have one so that you can have crack at it, or for your collection as an eggsample of a beautiful puzzle box.
This channel is the one of the best of all You Tube!
Keep On Puzzling!
That bird had legs, before you started =)
That kanji means, "Hit here first"...lol
安 is also a kanji character that means relax, quiet, rested, contented, peaceful
I thought about that solution at the beginning, like how you open a real egg
I think you are supposed to "crack the egg", may be hit it on the table or with a spoon like you would when eating a real boiled one.
Not sure if someone has already said it, but the stamp is the stamp of the puzzle maker, Akio Kamei. He also designed and crafted the Dice puzzle. :)
The Karakuri puzzles I've seen have all had solutions based on the name of the puzzle or the story behind it. It's like Hanayama and their logo.
I solve 2 of these every morning before breakfast :)
I think I know the solution even before watching the video! It's simple: you need to scramble it :P
i cant wait for how to basic to get his hands on this
egg-cellent
I was hoping there was a bird inside - great puzzle addition!
It is cool too simple for my liking though it would be a cool decoration peace
Nice music!
Ωραίο!
I like your watch. I'm trying to find one for myself, what make is it. Also I like your puzzle solving
I said crack it like an egg and I was correct. I said that as soon as I saw the puzzle. I am becoming a chef so it makes sense lol
Hehe! 👍
I think he's trying to tell you the egg came first before the chicken.
Nice now I can hide my “treasures” in there 😏
Those nails 👍🏻 very nice
Now go get an uncooked egg and balance it. That's always fun. You're videos rock.
This makes it even more authentic Japanese: "made from natulal woods"
From the puzzle description: "no force is necessary"
Either they lied or we wouldn't agree on what constitutes "force".
"force" in this context I always take to mean "it's not necessary to do anything that you think will break the puzzle" or "a piece or move should work smoothly, if it doesn't, then it isn't the right move"
