  • A fast paced video showing how I turned a cup of epoxy resin into an easter egg for my kids. This is a great project for beginners and only takes a couple hours after the resin cures. This was also a test pour using a new casting resin from "Incredible Solutions Pourable Plastic" and it turned like butter. I will leave a link to this casting resin kit down below if anyone is interested in purchasing some for their projects.

Resin turning and even hybrid wood and resin turning is an incredible outlet that can be as simple as an egg or as complicated as you want to make it. I encourage anyone who thinks they may be interested in resin turning to go for it. You can get a small lathe and tooling for about $300 at Harbor Freight to get you started and see if you enjoy it.

Woodturning and resin turning are incredibly fun hobbies to get into. As you can see by this video you can definitely get very creative. If it is softer than metal and dry you can most likely cast it in resin and turn it on a wood lathe.
