Every so often I will remember that this band is utterly incredible. Just when the mood hits right, nothing lands quite like Interpol. Beautiful.
I go through these phases where I will listen to nothing but Interpol for days and weeks on end until something new comes along and sucks me away. For over 15 years I have continued to go through these phases a few times a year. I don't do that with any other band or artist. Sometimes I will binge on hip-hop for months on end but the obsession that strikes as Interpol cannot be superseded.

Interpol are hardly underrated. Turn on the bright lights is commonly regarded as the best album of 2002.

TURN ON THE BRIGHT LIGHTS has never sounded better. Still one of the best albums every made.
Just put my life on hold for an hour and 16 minutes to watch and listen to this gig. These guys are one of the few bands that can make me do that.
Sam is such an awesome drummer. And that snare drum... that is the perfect snare sound.

I could listen to these guys all day everyday. Seen them 5 times. First time I was 22 am now 36 never get bored
Their bass is tight and Paul doesn't sound like a goat, most of the time. Good stuff.

This sounds SO good through my 1990s surround sound stack stereo speakers. People talk about Carlos, but this bass player is on top of it.

No band comes close to Interpol. Specialist & song seven are just a few of my personal favorites.

I go around collecting as many live versions of Interpol songs as I can find. The 2003 Cologne one was probably my favorite Specialist. Song Seven is so underrated. The 2001 La Route Du Rock performance is imperfect but my favorite for the latter.

Dru Smith Interpol are a good band band.. you have the right an freedom to be a huge fan of Interpol .. Objectively musically saying no other band comes close to Interpol is Not accurate..Interpol sound the way they do because of Joy Division..there would never have been Interpol if It was not for Joy Division..Interpol do not even come close too JOY DIVISON..Interpol are not even in the same stature music Universe as Radiohead.....Radiohead are the stature influential band ..Im telling you this Fact Objectively....separate from you being an Interpol fan

I agree, but i didn't grow up during the time of joy division, so their music i.e. radiohead, didn't capture, or highlight my day to post non sequiturs
Paul sounds tired but he is trying his best to give an amazing performance. I hope he quits smoking. His voice and his health are too precious.
After a long time, I finally understand that the surprise in the song "Untitled" is something good that suddenly happens inside us, when everything seems lost. This is right for those who believe in something supernatural and those who do not. Thank you much Interpol!

Fantastic! I missed the New York show. I love the Antics stuff in some ways it's my favorite "album" record; with exception of A Time To Be So Small, it was a single blast and as people rediscover/discover vinyl as a medium I suggest Antics as a great record for the turntable. Anyway don't mind me, I just love all all things Interpol and sometimes their unique mood is all that will do. This is one of those times.
A Time To Be So Small is in my top 2 out of Antics
A Time To Be So Small is of my Interpol favorites too, sorry I just wasn't clear that it wasn't written for Antics but already existed. You can find it on an early release called "Precipitate EP" and on the Special Edition of TOTBL with more than a dozen or so demos and b-sides. Very much worth listening to all their early extras, great songs.
