This is sad. She could not even properly stand for her Christianity. You can't hide behind "the church rules say..." what does your Jesus say? Because family does not come first when you have consecrated your life to God. He comes first and family second and ministry/church third.
That is the biblical stand point of a born again Christian no matter what. This does not mean when you child or parent is sick you still choose to go to church service instead of being there for them, it does however mean that it is your God that you call on first and trust in most before doctors and medicine.
You cannot choose a lifestyle that is against everything I believe in and when I can't "show support" you tell me I don't care about family. That is just plain disregard of my faith and a boastful elevation of your new found beliefs. And for these things to now have to be done in my house when you have shown yourself a grown man who has even gotten married, and now you want not just my house to be the venue for something I don't associate with, but you also require me to be passionate about it and eager to help in every way possible?
