The books are wonderful I've read all of them a 1000 times over never ever tire of them, this film was an excellent portrayal of my most favourite book
@@Equestrian9487 in the books he’s got a planned escape route down the cliff there’s outcrops and rocks and things he can jump on to get down so he survives :)
I never pictured Thowra as a palomino with dark points. I wish Peter Jackson could work his magic on these magical books and do an updated version focusing on the inner thoughts and conversations of all the bush animals. It could be stunning!
After watching Quigley down under not that long ago, I can't help but theorize that Thowra jumping off the cliff is symbolic. Symbolic to the aborigines who sometimes were literally driven off cliffs by some of the settlers. Maybe in thinking too much into it, I haven't seen the cartoon version or read the books so Idk if the ending to the movie is similar to either of them.
In the cartoon at least, there was a hidden valley underneath the jump. It was easy enough for all of the horses in the herd to jump down, but in appearance it looked like certain death. His plan was to make the man believe he was dead, although he was already known as possibly being a "ghost", his appearances thereafter would be questioned as such.
Thowra was silver his daughter kunama was palomino....get it right !! The grey brolga thowras mum bel bel lve never read a writer that could paint a picture like elwyne Mitchell.
I really did not love this scene because you know aborigines is that they find any animal out there was to follow their tracks even though Thowra(silver brumby) did not come to know that this was the Man's idea to catch him by finding an aboriginal tracker.
The horses are not running, it looks like they are flying,💯 marvellous scene
