I loved how tight the framing was, it looks great! I also have a love/hate relationship with Iron Flame. When I finished it I was mad and said “fine I just won’t read the next one”. Cooler heads prevailed and I am looking forward to see where the circumstances lead us. 🦊

You are right it is situational for the relationship. For those of us who have served in the military , i adapted to the relationship quite quickly. I didn’t think how others would see the situation. The next book is supposed to be out in December. Happy Stitching!! 💛🪡💛

Your FFO's are stunning! You do a great job lacing and framing. Congrats on the awesome progress on your WIP's. I'm doing WIPGO as well, and even though I'm slightly tweaking my board as I go, I should put stitches in every WIP this year. And it helps me to know what needs to be done so I choose from those projects. 🦊

You should see if it's at your library or on your library's app! I always use them to try new genres that I'm not sure if I love and it's always good to support the library! That's what I did when I was trying out different genres last year!
You are doing great on your goals! It takes some perseverance on your part. I am struggling with keeping to no new starts until I get more wips completed. Thanks for inspiring me.
I'm so happy that we can all help each other stick with our goals! The no new starts is hard lol but it's also so rewarding to stick with!

Bridgen your Quaker turned out beautifully. Regarding your disappointment with the boarder I cannot help but wonder if you took the piece in prelaced or loose. If it was the former they messed up the measurements. If it is the latter the fabric stretched during the lacing. Whatever it was, there is no worries as it is a beautiful finish. Oh my god! That Quaker It is stunning and I am a Maas fan too! I’m going to have to do that one as it is going to be a gorgeous companion piece to “Two Quaker Sisters” (also modern folk embroidery) which I just finished yesterday for Valentine’s Day for my hubs! Amazing work! So so so so beautiful!
I absolutely love those sister quaker pieces, those are definitely on my list when I finish a couple of my current monochromatic quakers! Congrats on the finishes!

Please take the frame back to Michael's. They do so much framing for me. Their stitchy pin service is awesome....and I've taken things back years after they were done and they've made it right. It can't hurt to take it in and talk to them. My bet is, regardless of how long ago you got the frame, they'll make it right.
Brijin, “O Joyous Day” is absolutely stunning and I can understand wanting to stitch on it all the time! I love your fabric and fiber choices 😊.
I had the same issue in getting a frame from HL. If they're not framing the piece themselves, they sometimes forget to add the rabbet (I think that's the term)....basically how much room is being taken up by that space in the back of the frame between the window and the edge. I have moved to measuring my piece, adding 1 inch (1/2" on each side), then an extra 1/2" to account for the rabbet. I purchased some Atom Heart drops after seeing them on your channel. LOVE the Valentine's drop they did!
I'm so jealous, I wanted to get the valentine's ones so bad! Those floss drops are so good, I hope you love them!

🦊I am so glad you mentioned Iron Flame in a previous flosstube. While your stitching is always inspiring, your book recommendation got me hooked on reading again! I read Fourth Wing and devoured it (helped that I listened while working on Climbing Goat Designs Dragon Field Guide SAL). I read Iron Flame as soon as it was available at my library and agree with you on Xaden. **SPOILERS INBOUND** I found his "work for it, ask the right questions and I'll be vulnerable" incredibly frustrating and a bit toxic. Honestly, I was more impressed with Dain's character development and started rooting for a renewed friendship or maybe a small romance.
Oh my gosh it warms my heart to hear that I helped you reconnect to reading again! And omg yes!! The "ask the right questions that you wouldn't know to ask and I would have been honest with you" thing was SO ANNOYING!

You aren't the first person to say that about Iron Flame. Im going to read the Fourth Wing and hopefully i will like it. Would you mind sharing you lipstick color? Your lip colors are always so vibrant on camera. I love that you wear it. I cant go without lipstick so i am always on the look out for new colors. Yours compliment your skin tone so well. You always make me take a second look at some samplers. You mentioned a couple of Plum streets Im going to need to investigate. Thanks for another lively video!

So enjoyable as always! Your projects are so fun to see progress on! I have yet to start the Beatrix Potter Quaker! I have had it kitted up since everyone was first talking about it and stitching it, but I have so many wips and would like to finish a few first! I am participating in Pink Thread February and started The Rabbit Alphabet by JBW Designs! I am using a pink variegated silk by Almond MnMs called Geranium Rose! I kinda wish I used a darker pink but it is pretty! I also am working on Red Bird Fractured and it is a delightful stitch! I did switch out a couple colors for the Valdani as I thought the two used were too close in color! I also used a blue silk for the eggs! I have pictures posted on IG if you want to take a peek! You are the only other person I have seen mention this chart! Will look forward to seeing your progress! Thanks for sharing! Appreciate you!
That chart is lovely and I bet it's gonna look amazing in that Almond MnMs silk! I loved working with that floss! Right now I'm also working on a monochromatic pink piece at the moment and I forgot how much I love monochromatic stitching!

🦊🦊 Love your projects! As for the book - LOVE 4th Wing/Iron Flame although I hated the bickering/fighting between the 2 in the 2nd book. Is it written spectacularly? No, but I love it and I don't care. I also just finished my first read through of Crescent City! Loved them! Next series will be Throne Of Glass. Wish me luck!

Have you checked out Love, Lies and Hocus Pocus? It’s a modern urban fantasy. Has a slow burn romance in and but the story moves quick. She has 8 books out in the series so far and it’s really good!

I have never made a frame before but seeing Michaels screw it up so much is mind boggling. Today I saw a finished "epic Pokemon" (basically full coverage piece) framed by Michaels and they cut off the top heads of the Pokemon and some of the sides. I wonder if they have precut frames already handy and if the required measurement is "close enough" they just use premade ones.

🦊im reading (listening) to Iron Flame now. While I really enjoyed Fourth Wing and Iron Flame, I don’t think this is my genre. I’m more of a true crime reader.
As my grandpa would say, that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors! I had the same experience last year trying to read some horror books, not my genre but it's always good to branch out and try it!
