SEWING VLOG | Making of Toddler’s Cute Monkey Costume for Halloween: last minute sewing with me

I finally made a costume of my dream: a monkey costume for my toddler son!
I actually started planning this costume a long time (almost two decades) ago, but somehow managed to procrastinate the actual sewing till the last minute.
I used to work in theatre costumes, and people assumed that I went all out on Halloween… and of course, many of my co-workers had the most, fabulously original costumes, but I really couldn’t care less about my own Halloween attire… but now that my kids are really into Halloween, I cannot ignore this annual event no more… I might even start planning family costumes, especially after this year’s successful animal costumes for my kids.

Excellent work ma'am. I came here while looking for a 'monkey in bellhop uniform' to wear when i tour with my band. I need something i can play the drums in (mostly), sing or play guitar in at times. I may well have to create my own bc the pickins are slim at market.

how did you stiffen the tail? Just fibrefill? or some wire too?

I just tightly stuffed fleece leftover pieces! also the tail pattern was already curved shape➰
