ART IS DEAD! we place copy-cats on pedestals, and no one is making great NEW music. most new music is shyte! Playing other people music is fine when you are starting out, but everyone who supports copy-cats are destroying music....cause soon people will run out of great music to copy, because everyone in just copying and not creating.

In many ways these guys are keeping the memory and music of Eddie Van Halen alive! That's a great thing!
You do have a point, but people want to see top tier bands in all genres, when there's no top tier bands to see like back in the 70's - 2005 (I was born in early 60's LA County played in bands and saw many many bands included VH with Roth 5 times and with Sam 3 times) What i'm trying to say is people in all aspects of life "settle" for whatever they can take or get; so it's the weekend and these cats are playing so lets have some fun and check em out verses staying home and have you're head buried in a cell phone.
The kids now a days have way too many options and distractions and are not hungry enough to create a band and/or music/art. That's a WHOLE other factual subject.
THEN as like EVERYTHING else in the universe it comes down to the less of the two evils, copycat band or cell phone entertainment, "you make the call." In order to be a musician let alone playing in a band that's an eight way marriage (including girlfriends) the younger generation is not willing to put in the 10k hour rule to get there, again they have WAY too many distractions and just don't have the desire it takes to be like Rush or VH. Peace
First of all, there's plenty of great new music being made, you just have to put a little more effort into finding it than just switching on the radio like when we were young. The music industry has changed into an entirely different animal since the dawn of the internet. Second, while I would agree that the whole tribute band thing is beginning to get out of hand, the very best ones - like the Voyager band that does Journey and these guys doing VH - are an absolute joy to experience for anyone who still wants to hear their favorite songs performed live. On that note - and being a die hard VH fan since the first record in '78 who also thoroughly enjoyed the Hagar years - I'm going to see these guys first chance I get and will love every second of it. Lighten up and live a little, dude....no ones getting hurt here.

Fantastic band, but their "Hagar" isn't very good.
Sounds nothing like Sammy.
You should check out the other videos of him doing songs like "Dreams" and "Runaround". Those are highly challenging songs to sing and he really nails them. This one's ok.....still very serviceable for me.
