Here are the steps to improve your skills:
Warm up with a simple version of the song.
Then practice just the first note with a droning double stop.
Do that until it sounds good and feels good in the body.
Then the first few notes with looping.
Then try it on a larger chunk of the tune.
More advanced students can try two-finger double stops.
The advantage of practicing with simple songs is that you know them really well. So you can put all your attention on the challenging skill of the double stops.
