    Enjoying all your lessons. I play by ear and there is a song I learned that I do the same thing, play it all while in double stop

    what have you done to your bridge ? It looks like you have placed a insert on every string . The fiddle sounds great .

    I do enjoy your lessons and approach, but fail to understand why you would fail to address what is to me the most difficult technique associated with double stops which is how to place the pressed string finger away from the open string.

      Good question.
      You have to cheat away from the drone string.
      So instead of placing your finger directly in the middle of D string when droning A, you place it more between G and D strings.

      @@fiddl3hed Thanks so much for the reply. I find it frustrating trying a doublestop or drone and trying to keep the fingers off the next string. Similar to other string instruments, but those dang fiddle strings are so close together...
