This art is actually for my A-Level art project and even though that’s unconnected to Elizabeth Gaskell’s North and South (a Victorian novel and 2004 period drama for anyone who doesn’t know - also - WATCH IT) it was inspired by it - the industrial setting, main female sitter and 1840/50s fashion.
