I sold my old collection to get the new one they released. I've just gotta make sure I pick the one that contains 1-4. If I had Die Hard 5 on my shelf the rest of my Blurays would melt.
I'm watching Chris's video almost 2 years later and I really appreciate John Flickster and Chris Stuckmann's love for movies. They have been so influential that they changed my view of movies from just fun pass times to amazing experiences/journeys. Thanks to them I collect a lot of blu rays as well because I just love movies.
I really like the ending to No Country for Old Men because I think it lets the audiences imagine how the films concludes and makes them think what happens to these characters and I think The Coen Brothers did a terrific job doing that
I don't know what is sadder, the fact that I sat through 40 minutes of him talking about movies he owns or that I was actually entertained by him talking about his movies for 40 minutes
You're always apologizing for having movies that are considered bad in your collection. You don't have to apologize for movies that you like because you like what you like.
Love this! This is what true love for cinema look like folks! Much respect for actually having a collection, unlike other reviewers who are too cheap to invest in one.
Dude, I thumbed this video up as soon as you said you organize your movies alphabetically. Any time I go to someone's house and see their movies/games aren't alphabetically organized, as soon as they leave the room, I organize them. Everybody's like, "Nah, I'll just come over to *your* house".
'I said, put, the bunny... back in the box.' - Love Con Air, recently saw Michael Bay's The Rock for the first time too (Bay's best movie) and it has a lot in common with Con Air, in fact Con Air feels like an unofficial sequel to the Rock which I like. Great video :)
great video. Cheers for all the recommendations. And great talks about the movies in general. I found myself both agreeing with ur comments and respected the ones I didn't fully agree with. But all round great video and fantastic collection of films. U got my thinking a few times. :)
Chris mentioned style over substance in this video - Blade Runner is the best example of style over substance I can think of. I was so glad to hear that Chris thought that movie was overrated too.
TheVideoInvader True that. I think every sci-fi nerd wants to love that movie, especially those of us who enjoyed the book, but aside from being very atmospheric and cool to look at it did nothing for me.
I love the way you love Collecting Tom Cruise films Minority Report Collateral The Last Samurai War of the Worlds Valkyrie Jack Reacher Mission Impossible Mission Impossible II Mission Impossible III Ghost Protocol Eyes Wide Shut
Chris, I wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to start a movie collection of my own. I've started with my favorites, and plan to add on from there. I've got around 53 DVDs (since I don't own a BluRay player ). I adore your channel! Thank you!
no because they are too long and the extended scenes are things you could really do without an its obvious when it is the extended scenes because they look lesser quality and breaks immersion of the film
lMrFresno559l I completely agree I'm 14 and when my mom got me the theatrical version of the trilogy for Christmas I was like cool but then a couple months later my dad showed me the extended edition. I sold the theatrical cuts to buy the extended editions
I prefer the extended cuts of TLOTR myself as well for a few reasons. 1. If fleshes out all the characters (especially the side characters.) 2. You feel as though you are apart of the giant ass world and there is so much possibility.
Pretty fun to see your collection, and I can't say I enjoyed all the same movies you do, but I still found it interesting. Hope you continue to update them.
Look, Xmen: The Last Stand wasn't worthy of being a Best Picture nominee or anything and the first two were much better but I honestly just don'.t get the hatred for this film.
Ashwaffle There's no need to curse at me. And also, what's not clear about what I said? I said that I don't understand why everyone deems X-Men: The Last Stand to be such a bad movie. It's not perfect at all, but its overwhelming negative response struck curiosity in me because it's not bad. It's flawed but no one's gonna say that "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was better.
Or, Chris' Movie Recommendations, but seriously, thank you so much for this video. Very great choices and some interesting ones. I like how you didn't skim through all of them and actually gave some history and experience with some. And THANK YOU SO MUCH for explaining Brick I saw that blu-ray online before but didn't get why it wasn't available like anywhere!
Chris Stuckmann’s list of Blu-Ray movies: 3:10 to Yuma 10 Things I Hate About You 12 Angry Men 500 Days of Summer Air Force One Alfred Hitchcock Essentials Collection Alien and Aliens American Psycho The Avengers Batman Begins, Dark Knight, and Dark Knight Rises The Big Lebowski Black Swan Blue Valentine Braveheart Brick Broken Arrow Chinatown Clear and Present Danger Collateral The Cowboy Bebop Movie Commando Con Air Crazy, Stupid, Love. Great video Chris. I will look for the movies you recommended for sure because that's why I have requested a Blu-ray collection video! Thanks again and I want Signs Analyzed video too :)
OPINION REFRESH: I watched it again and the movie is FINE. Just fine. I don't think it's particularly special or amazing but it is fun. Still EXTREMELY OVERRATED. The characters r good and the dialogue is good like all of Whedons writing. But Hawkeye isn't that much of an interesting character and there r way too many coincidences that makes the story a bit meh. The first 30 minutes of this film are also really boring and not that great. so yeah idm it though don think its that watchable as the funny moments didn't hit as much the 2nd time. its fine and sometimes fun so yeah there u go... ORIGINAL:I'm sorry, I like Marvel films except maybe Iron Man 2. But I don't like The Avengers. I went into it with all the hype and loads of people saying it was like the best film ever... and then I watched it :/. Im sorry it's just overrated. It pissed me off how over hyped and average it is.
Yes, the extended versions made these movies even better, there were so many scenes in them that absolutely should've been in the theatrical versions as well, there probably the only directors cuts that I'll say yes to
As a DVD and Blu-Ray collector myself, this was a lot of fun to watch :) I can see you're a superhero fan, so I will recomend Watchmen! Also, time to get the Godfather series for your collection! Oh and Goodfellas and Taxi Driver. And Fargo. And Heat. This could take long...
I subscribed when you pulled out the Bond collection ! Love Casino Royale, Daniel Craig is awesome and Le Chiffre is one of the best Bond villains in my opinion :D Awesome vid !!!
thanks to Chris, I also just recently started a dvd collection. I don't care about what people have to say about the movies in my collection, if I like the movie, I will get it. some movies that I can remember from the top of my head right now that I have are, Deadpool, Kung Fu Panda 3, Garfield, The Conjuring, Middle School:the worst years of my life, Avengers:age of ultron, Madagascar: Europes most wanted,Hit and Run, and Cyrus. there are many more movies that I am currently trying to get.
Does this mean that this August you will do another one of these, except leave the ones you've already done out? It does sound like a tedious project, but another one of these collection videos is something I look forward to more than Christmas.
Eyes Wide Shut was incredible. I can understand why allot of people not liking it and it was purely because of the content but there is just something dreamy about the film.
Its moods, its mysteries, Nicholson's performance, Kubrick's ability to make every single frame of the movie mean something important, and most of all the way it stays with you for weeks after you've seen it for the first time.
really enjoyed this Chris and deffo reminded me of some I both want to experience for the first time, and also films I still need to add to my ever growing collection. I need a new bookcase for them though... and time to watch them. To jump on the off sick for the day film of choice... Jurassic Park. That. Film. Changed. Me. *whispers* forever....

exactly
"I'm not a completionist" Well, it's 2016, and we know that's not true anymore :)
RED ALERT! 2018! I’m the new marty mcfly
Yeah he bought all of the Alien movies 😂
He still doesn't own the terminator, post 2, sequels
His collection has come a long way.
In 2013, it was a shelf in the corner of his room, 2019 it is the corner of his room
I really like the ending to No Country for Old Men because I think it lets the audiences imagine how the films concludes and makes them think what happens to these characters and I think The Coen Brothers did a terrific job doing that
Amazing film
I don't know what is sadder, the fact that I sat through 40 minutes of him talking about movies he owns or that I was actually entertained by him talking about his movies for 40 minutes
Darren Haga
It entertains me to, for some reason.
You're always apologizing for having movies that are considered bad in your collection. You don't have to apologize for movies that you like because you like what you like.
but come on, jumanji is awful
AmazingJoe96 not if you grew up with it and it has sentimental value. For that reason I will always have love for Jumanji
i did grow up with it and have sentimental value, its still terrible tho
AmazingJoe96 Terribly Awesome.
touche
Congrats on 500 man! Keep up the good work, and I enjoyed geeking out with your collection here
WOW $150 for Zodiac? I had no idea. I bought it not very long ago on Amazon for like $8. Thank god they put it back in print, it's a damn good film.
I think you have ghosts, Chris. At 3:31 you can see the blu-rays in the background move.
Thanks Chris! I have been asking for this every video since you started doing Blu-Ray videos
Love this! This is what true love for cinema look like folks! Much respect for actually having a collection, unlike other reviewers who are too cheap to invest in one.
"12 Angry Men," nice! Glad you like "Air Force One" also, as I was one of the artists who painted the miniature AFO in the movie :)
Dude, I thumbed this video up as soon as you said you organize your movies alphabetically. Any time I go to someone's house and see their movies/games aren't alphabetically organized, as soon as they leave the room, I organize them.
Everybody's like, "Nah, I'll just come over to *your* house".
***** So that means you have a shelf full of bad movies? O_O
I organized my movies by years
I have a complex director/colour set-up. Very odd, but looks great and works for me.
I arrange them from directors
Truth, i have watched this THREE times, and i LOVE IT! I love Chris Stuckmann!
Love your videos Chris! Keep up the amazing work!
Chris, I recommend you get Gladiator, Dirty Harry, or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly on blue ray.
I think this video is awesome, Chris i really hope that you maybe can do atleast one of these vids a year because man you are entertaining to watch!
CONGRATS CHRIS!!!! Love the Videos. You have helped me regain my love for movies!
3:30 GHOST!
Or it's probably just basic physics
lol
I wonder why he got rid of 3:10 To Yuma?
The Silver Shamrock yeah i noticed that
Great video Chris! I enjoyed it a lot!
great video. Cheers for all the recommendations. And great talks about the movies in general. I found myself both agreeing with ur comments and respected the ones I didn't fully agree with. But all round great video and fantastic collection of films. U got my thinking a few times. :)
Yes, broken arrow is awesome
You should get the blade runner director's cut! One of the best film noirs of all time!
He mentioned on Twitter that he doesn't like Blade Runner
+TheVideoInvader That's sad because Blade Runner is a flawed masterpiece. Nice channel pic
Chris mentioned style over substance in this video - Blade Runner is the best example of style over substance I can think of. I was so glad to hear that Chris thought that movie was overrated too.
Insidious Jazz To each they're own
TheVideoInvader True that. I think every sci-fi nerd wants to love that movie, especially those of us who enjoyed the book, but aside from being very atmospheric and cool to look at it did nothing for me.
Absolutely love your videos!
Great collection Chris, this is probably the first time I've seen someone own as many blu-rays as I do, haha
I love the way you love Collecting Tom Cruise films
Minority Report
Collateral
The Last Samurai
War of the Worlds
Valkyrie
Jack Reacher
Mission Impossible
Mission Impossible II
Mission Impossible III
Ghost Protocol
Eyes Wide Shut
You need more EASTWOOD!
This is the best Blu Ray collection video on CZcams!
Chris, I wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to start a movie collection of my own. I've started with my favorites, and plan to add on from there. I've got around 53 DVDs (since I don't own a BluRay player ). I adore your channel! Thank you!
I used to watch The Dark Knight every other week
Chris. Review Terminator 2 Judgement Day as one of your future reviews.
Watched this all in one go, very much enjoyed it.
Great Job Chris. Keep going!
This is one cool dude.
Christopher Nolan wrote the treatment for Inception in 2002, before Paprika was released.
great vid chris as always
maan, this is such a great video! Loved it
Why don't you own the Shawshank redemption ?? That's a must own film .
The extended cuts of TLOTR is the superior way to view them. It just is. End of story.
no
AmazingJoe96 yes
no because they are too long and the extended scenes are things you could really do without an its obvious when it is the extended scenes because they look lesser quality and breaks immersion of the film
lMrFresno559l I completely agree I'm 14 and when my mom got me the theatrical version of the trilogy for Christmas I was like cool but then a couple months later my dad showed me the extended edition. I sold the theatrical cuts to buy the extended editions

1. If fleshes out all the characters (especially the side characters.)

Congrats on 500 and great Marvel shirt!
Dude you have an awesome Bluray collection!
None of the Cornetto trilogy!?
Can you do a new blu ray collection its been like 6 months
its coming. its almost his 600th video and he has almost 100k subs
Excaliber and 3 years later, he is past 1 mil subs, it's great that he is growing.
Man I love this video. Can't wait for the next collection update!
Congrats on 500
I think Alien is one of my favorites of all time. For some reason the only word that comes to mind is "quiet". Don't know why.
Am I the only one that still only buys DVDS,,,?
Me too. Blu-rays too pricey here in Malaysia. :(
Crusader Wilhelm what do they cost there?
No, I buy both Blu rays and DVD
I also own some VHS tapes
Yes I still have a VCR
Most Blu Rays come with the DVD too, but I always look for the Blu Ray for the picture.
I LOVE Crazy Stupid Love! Thanks for the vid and congrats Chris!
Pretty fun to see your collection, and I can't say I enjoyed all the same movies you do, but I still found it interesting. Hope you continue to update them.
Look, Xmen: The Last Stand wasn't worthy of being a Best Picture nominee or anything and the first two were much better but I honestly just don'.t get the hatred for this film.
what the hell are you talking about
Ashwaffle There's no need to curse at me.
I thought you were saying that X-Men 3 was nominated for best picture, I must have read it wrong. Also, i dont really count "hell" as cursing
Ashwaffle I say it when I'm referring to the place, but I don't direct it towards people. But anyway, you see what I'm sayin'.
Youre right
I'm from Canada and I hate the French title on the spine its on every single damn thing
Yeah that is a problem.
They have to do it by law I think.
jared deswart its kind of very annoying
Grats on 500, my good man.

You're a Harrison Ford fan but you don't own 'Blade Runner' on blu-ray!?
Where is Dragon Ball Evolution? (just kidding)
I've learned from experience how sarcasm doesn't work in text so, genuinely, thanks for the brackets because I was worried for a moment there! :D
Great Collection man, and props on those Goosebumps books!
Great video, Chris. Cool collection.

In your opinion
Yes, the extended versions made these movies even better, there were so many scenes in them that absolutely should've been in the theatrical versions as well, there probably the only directors cuts that I'll say yes to
Congrats on your 500th video! Keep up the good work. BTW, I like Tomb Raider too and IIRC, Roger Ebert did too.
Best Blu-ray Collection video on youtube .. cause he really got into the movies.
Chris, every single blu-ray you've shown I too own myself. You have good tastes, sir!
nice blu-ray collection man love it
Great video, and movie choices! Thanks for posting:-)
wow what a great collection and for being so new
Make another one please I enjoyed this so much!
Wow, i cant believe i stuck through the 40 mins. Really good movie recommendations! Will be watching a lot of them soon
Can't wait to see more them.
Listening to this while waxing my arm pits! Yay Chris is awesome!
Chris, you are the man! I love Collateral!
Wow i was literally about to comment that Chris should get more bond films about two movies before skyfall.
Glad to see he's got the whole package
Great collection!!!
lmao about the sleeve thing, I totally wondered that! Good job Chris, good job
As a DVD and Blu-Ray collector myself, this was a lot of fun to watch :)
I can see you're a superhero fan, so I will recomend Watchmen!
Theses videos r the reason i have addiction 4 buying blu rays and the love of film cheers!
Place beyond the pines is amazing. Cooper and gossling and the kids are perfect.
I need to get a bluray player. Having a PS3 just isn't enough. Awesome collection Chris!
Are those Goosebumps in the back?
Smart idea about the slip covers. I might start doing that.
Watching this makes me feel really good about my collection :D
Does this mean that this August you will do another one of these, except leave the ones you've already done out?
It does sound like a tedious project, but another one of these collection videos is something I look forward to more than Christmas.
Love the stack of Goosebumps books in the back!
Eyes Wide Shut was incredible. I can understand why allot of people not liking it and it was purely because of the content but there is just something dreamy about the film.
Its moods, its mysteries, Nicholson's performance, Kubrick's ability to make every single frame of the movie mean something important, and most of all the way it stays with you for weeks after you've seen it for the first time.
i cannot believe i just saw a 40 min video and enjoyed it.
wow, great collection videos
That shirt is awesome and I need it!
I watched Collateral recently, now that is one of my favorite movies. Love it.
You had me at 3:10 to Yuma. Sweet collection
really enjoyed this Chris and deffo reminded me of some I both want to experience for the first time, and also films I still need to add to my ever growing collection.
I need a new bookcase for them though... and time to watch them.
To jump on the off sick for the day film of choice...
Jurassic Park.
That. Film. Changed. Me.
*whispers* forever....
Nice collection breh!
