Your kai gathering has shone a light for me, gathering those out of this world delicious mud oysters and whitebait. I love how you know what you are doing, and the respect you have when gathering kai, for eg. not pulling the puha out by the roots so it regenerates and putting back those tiny kahawai back into the water to grow up and breed. You need your wee doggie with you for a mate, that's not right that you can't, she is whanau. Beaut spot hearing the waves and the rain on the tarp. Great set up, I like two guys ropes on the awning poles too and of course some Kmart camping gear. Looking forward to the next one, have a great week🐾🏕

Loved ur video. Laughed when u mentioned camp site was $8 lol hasnt been that price to camp any where in new zealand for years. We still have a few cheap places to camp but most of them are pricey now. But still doesnt put me off xamping in my beautiful country lol.

Awesome set up, appreciate you use Kmart camp gear that's more my budget range and it works ( I hav bought a few things now). I like this set up it looks like a gud shelter and gives U a bit of room around your tent. I'd use this tarp set up for a day at the beach with the mokos too. Thankyou for another enjoyable video
Thank you, kmart gear is awesome and so is some of the cheaper gear on ali express. Wait until I pull out the kmart cast iron dutch oven which i haven't used yet.⛺️

I haven't had gud success with AliExpress that was a disappointment, mind you that's pre covid, it may be better I jus don't want to lose money on purchases that don't make it to my door. I hooked into TEMU n picked up a good deal on a fly tarp and tent thru them which I tested they work great for the price.

Change to suit the conditions and it should be alright, just the wind is the problem especially on the coast.
Great Video thanks for that. Yes camping in the rain isn't too bad EH! if the gear stands up to it. I bought a tent from H & F thats Pup tent sized base but tall so I can stand up in then I can have a proper folding camp bed and a chair inside if need :)
That might have been me fishing at Thornton I have been out alone in some serious weather there lately but only for short time I scurry back to the warm house pretty quick.
I'm enjoying sleeping on this bed system, quite warm even in a mild winter but still like the coleman bed for the bigger tents.
Choice video Mike. Have you tried powdered milk on Weetbix with hot water? Big clumps of powdered milk. Yummo.
I don't eat weetbix but if it has full cream powdered milk in it, then def be tasty😬

Looking in from the outside it's like a lighthouse sometimes but I need the light for filming. As soon as I stop recording it's lights out
Im looking for a new fly/tarp ur one looks really good where is it from? And where are the suction cups from i think i missed those bits if u said where they are from.
Instead of suction cups try using cordage through eyelet in tarp open adjacent car doors tighten and tie off to close mount internal boot latch/seat mount/across bonnet to adjacent front wheel, existing rubber car/boot mats to reduce paint damage.
Closing car door or rear hatch should provide a good seal

I so wish I had smell a vision , it's probable a good thing I don't , living on the edge of a desert in Aussie watercress is hard to find , but not impossible for about two week's of the year you can find it but you have to beat the live stock to get to it first.
