A 1899 us fire truck all of these vehicles are super historic!
My grandfather had same fire truck the white one and the 3rd red one and 1st white truck good old memories me and my grandfather driving this truck and when I was small he would take me for rides and night like zombies what memories and he made me sad when there was no siren on fire engine then he would make me smile when he ons that siren good old days and what an irish American firefighter BTW I'm irish he was very brave he's a veteran old firefighter my father now drives his firetrucks yet we ain't gonna sell that truck
Wow! Quite a collection of vintage fire equipment. There's some beautiful equipment there. Love hearing the old motor-driven sirens.
I did my Air National Guard summer camp one year where they still had one of those Oldsmobile high-top ambulances (they had more modern equipment that were their "everyday" machinery), and we had to transfer a patient from the smaller base about 100 miles to a major base where there was a bigger hospital. We loaded him into the Oldsmobile and he went in that. Quite a smooth ride. That Olds had the big 455 cid V8, so it would get up and scoot. We had to go to the motor pool and top off the tank so we could get back home! That Olds certainly wasn't economical in any sense of the word! I'd venture about 10 mpg, if that.

I just recieve 2 of the flood lights that were my grandfathers. He passed away and my dad found them in all his old stuff. He was the mechanic for st. catherine's for 40 years. This Video reminds me of the pictures he had of him around all these old vehicles.
I wish they'd come down my street and give our neighbour who's always complaining about the noise something to shout about lol maybe do 50 laps around her home 🤣🤣 that's a great lineup and all are awesome fire engines with the odd smokey thrown in too.👍

This brought back a lot of memories... I started out as an EMT in those high top Cadillac and Oldsmobile ambulances. And my volunteer fire department had two of those American LaFrance engines
I was a volunteer in central Michigan in the late 70's, early 80"s.
Most of our trucks were REO's.
The ladder was a Warner Swasey, and engine 3 was an old International.
The REO plant was local, one of our members worked there, and WS also had a plant in our city.
Most everything after that have been Spartan, (also local), I believe.
I left the area in 1990.

Very true. My step grandfather was a firefighter in South Tucson, Arizona. He retired in 1982 and passed away in 1986. This video brought back a lot of memories
Very, very, nice collection of moveable, antiques👍👏!!!! Every year, our seashore city sponsors, a state, Fireman's convention. Our four fire departments, all have some kind of antique, fire apparatus. The amount congregated here, is astounding. Love the, maybe unintended image @6:27. Where the newest piece (2014-ish?), is pulling the oldest piece (1825-ish?).
Totally awesome seeing the fire trucks from yesteryear. I remember some of them as a kid when my dad was a volunteer firefighter. Back in the day when they hung on the back of the fire trucks

Parade was in Canada, eh? There's a modern Chatham-Kent Police Charger at 8:43, with a crown and maple leaf logo.

That first car was a 1953 Plymouth empire-legacy on FDNY, (the F.D. I live on), which stands for Fire Department of New York city. 0:03. And at 6:38, is a fire truck my dad used to see a lot before I was born in 2007. It was an FDNY MACK CF Engine Co. 328, which is now a 2013 Seagrave Attacker (Marauder 2)
That 328 FDNY Mack was a 1987.
The first car is actually a Chrysler.

as i remember as a kid growing up in the 60's, how the fire trucks use to look, many where 10-20 years older....built in the 50's & 40's

6 tillers, lead one drifting. 2 Ghostbusters. There was 1 rescue 51 type. Good they put the horse drawn on trailers. Not quite one blues mobile, but close. Needed a 1 Adam 12.

Those are well preserve machines
Love to see all these old rigs still rolling, especially some of those tillers. Had to do a double take at 1:40. The white Dodge is very similar to our white Chevy except ours is a 4 seater and doesn't have the yellow stripe down the side. The yellow GMC behind it is identical to ours except in a little nicer shape.

I wonder how many of these are in a state that would allow deployment to an emergency scene as additional help, like having to lay a very long hose line for supply that requires mor booster pumps than are available.
These all used to be regularly active machines (obviously not including any modern fire trucks that happened to make their way into this)
