    When trying to stay low budget, these inserts are a good upgrade for this truck. My son runs them in his Ascent Fusion and I run crawler innovation dual stage in my full custom build and it bounces just as much. He likes his stock tires too, now that they're well scrubbed in. I always bring a set of Proline BFG Crawlers on SSD D-hole "steeleys" with supersoft inserts for him to switch to, but he always declines when I ask, that's over $130.00 set that just stays in my backpack 😂.

      Lol, the problem is once you try a really good setup, you cant be happy with stock anymore

    I had the same exact shock screw come loose on mine, though I caught it before it backed all the way out. Immediately went through the whole truck and tightened everything, and found a couple more screws on the chassis braces that were loose. Later went back and did the service bulletin and applied lock tight on the set screws on the axles and the pinions. None of mine had thread locker on them and one pinion was super loose and one set screw on the axles was also super loose. Glad they emailed owners to do the service!

      Yeah, very cool of Redcat to acknowledge the issue

    I wanted blue injora inserts for my Redcat Fusion but ended up with green after feeling them in someone's heavier rig. They felt stiff even in a heavier truck so i knew they would be way too stiff in mine. I have the injora brass wheel rings as well. Ive done a couple other cheap easy mods as well but it climbs great now.

      *the blues felt too stiff. The greens are just about perfect. I may try tuning them with the foam rods. Thanks for the idea!

    Injora 1.9 Blue is soft, green is supersoft

    Another thing to use for tuning rods is plastic tubing , most hardware stores have big selection. I’m thinking about getting one seem pretty bad ass for a rtr and price. Good info thanks for the video

    Hi there, thanks for the video. What do you think about green in front and blue in the rear, both injora. Thanks

    Can you not trim a little off the top to make the insert a touch smaller.

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, easily trimmed. You can also trim the vertical sections and it will squish down more.

    Is it better without the inner front springs ?

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, for my terrain and the way I like to drive, it’s better with more front travel and also heavier fluid. I used 55wt in all 4 shocks.

    • @nathanstewart2018
      @nathanstewart2018 Před 2 měsíci

      Ill second that. I took the front springs out and added 50wt and losi mini T soft springs to all 4 corners and it helped tremendously.

    QUICK QUESTION - ISNT THE GREEN INSERT "MEDIUM"? AND BLUE "SOFT" ? - HOW COME YOU WENT WITH GREEN IF THE REDCAT ISNT THAT HEAVY..?

    • @kenricknelson310
      @kenricknelson310 Před 3 měsíci +2

      The green injora inserts are "soft",the blue are "medium" and the red are "hard"💯💯💯

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Green is soft and felt just about perfect for the stock tires.

    Have you actually ran the jconcepts gray foams that come with there tires?:I'm using them in ruptures on my 4ws capra and first few runs have been awesome

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Yes, they are great for just about everything. The biggest issue with single stage foam is the tires can roll over when side hilling or steering with a lot of weight transfer to the front.

    • @GrimSpeedFPV
      @GrimSpeedFPV Před 4 měsíci

      @@rcilluminati26 yeah most single stage foams are janky but I was dam the jconcepts ones are actually really good. While the fold over may happen under good pressure the forward drive is through the roof! Right on 💯💪

    Trying to upgrade cheap ones is expensive, might as well spend that little but more like this one

  • @danthehomelessman5533
    @danthehomelessman5533 Před 3 měsíci +1

    not a huge fan of the injora inserts. They do not fit well and move a side to side lot in the tire. Green is too soft for my light weight truck. My Ascent crawled better with the stock foams than these inserts. I have taken mine out and went back to dual stage foams.

    • @rcilluminati26
      @rcilluminati26  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I have noticed they can shift on the ring but they are still working for me. Def better stuff out there but for $20, these are pretty good

    • @danthehomelessman5533
      @danthehomelessman5533 Před 3 měsíci

      @@rcilluminati26 I'll agree with that. Any clues as to how to stop or slow the side shifting?
