It's commonsense for a technician man or anyone to know that regardless how clean the espresso coffee machine is at the end of the day, it has to be hygienically clean. That means the rag must be used strictly for the (wand), that is the nozzle steam that is used to froth the milk. There must be a separate rag for the wand and a separate rag for the rest of the espresso coffee machine. You can have both rags to be easily distinguished with different color rags so as to know which one for the wand and which one for the rest of the espresso coffee machine. Not just use one rag for the whole espresso coffee machine. This has become a serious health issue. If I was manager on duty and I got found out by him regardless if he was a technician man or not he would not have won himself a customer. It is important to take this into serious consideration. There are to many careless people out there people may think I am too fussy. I can not share how important this is. This is how people get sick from to much bad bacteria.

Just advice to anyone that sees this video do not start removing panels from your machine I agree wipe your, machine down keep it clean for sure wash the drip tray. Also do not stick anything in your steam wand now I know who gave the barista that got that similar item stuck in it the idea. Also that brass dispersion disc make sure you clean that and also check to see if all holes are open if any are clogged clean them paper clip metal wire whatever. The back flush most of those cleaning companies recommend you repeat it with cleaning agent and also do back flush again with just hot water ,to pull cleaning agent out. It leaves a bad taste and can also clog valves and solenoids, also he forgot to mention the first shot of espresso you pull shouldn’t be used can have residue from cleaner. Either way this is an ok video and maybe this guy is new or just not fully trained or company as a whole but just do his stuff with some corrections. Lol ok so I made this comment before I saw the “calibration “. You ALWAYS calibrate with espresso in the porta filter you can not calibrate with water an espresso pull takes roughly 20 to 30 seconds for a double the flow meter cannot correctly calibrate the pull with water. I know I may look like a troll I wish this company the best but these companies are the ones that make it worse for consumers they have a baseline understanding but need further education.

I realise, that there may be reason not to clean a commercial machine the same way as a home machine, but a few points struck me:
    1. When you rinse the grouphead, you want it to be clean. This was obviously not done in the video. A clean grouphead almost shines.
    2. Backflushing: I don't know if this machine is special, but generally you backflush several times. Usually 5 times, with chemicals, then 5 times without. 10 or more seconds each time, with a pause of 10 (or more) seconds after each flush.
    3. Backflushing is usually not done to descale, but to dissolve residue from the coffee in the grouphead, and other places.
Note that this is obviously a training video for the employees, so the machine may get regular service, which could explain the superficial cleaning, and the instructions may also have been psychologically manipulated.

I'm having a problem with my La Spaziale New EK espresso machine and I can't find a manual online. All of the buttons are blinking red at the same time. I can turn it on and let it heat up for 30 minutes. After that I can get a cup or two made and this happens every time. Any clues? Im asking because I saw your videos you put out.

Brian Thomason generally that’s a water issue maybe if you have an in line filter change it or ensure there is nothing stopping water flow into the pump worst case pump is shot or a line inside is clogged or even the water fill sensor,is just dirty not reading right. considering your comment is a year old let me know if you figured it out I’m curious.
