#Korg #KorgKrome - Hudba
âHad to get it. Iâm a gear junkie.â Me too buddy. me too. We all gotta stick together. Great video!
đȘđŸđȘđŸđȘđŸ
me too...lol
Oh, God. I can so relate to everything you've said. I almost got a Krome EX in April 2021, but ended up getting the new Korg i3 in the end. I still second-guess my decision weekly, but I really wanted a very light and portable instrument that was under 10 lbs and that was dead-easy to use, where it would just force me to actually play more and improve my actual keyboard playing skills. I have a computer science background and a terrible tendency to tweak and change everything to death, and simplicity is a lifesaver sometimes :). I also find hardware much more gratifying than the plugins. I love Arturia's Pigments 3 so much, but it feels like one needs to have a latest gen 8-core CPU with a 3.5 Ghz base clock to really take advantage of it.
@@BoloDaProducer - Donât feel bad. Iâm a gear/software/content junkie as well. I am picking up a Krome EX from a pawn shop. I get a lot of gear from there.
"Yall dont need to go out and buy all this gear.... I do."-- Bolo

Your Bolo 2020 Drum Kit is my go to kit if not the only one I use! Cant wait for the new one to drop.
đ„đ„đ„đ„
I washed dishes for 6 months at an Italian restaurant and saved $800 to buy a used KORG M1.This was in 1988, I was 19.lol
Back then, you could buy the same keyboard and sounds you heard on songs that were on the radio.I used a 8 track Tascam recorder for tracks.
But what you couldnât buy is the production skills of a producer like Teddy Riley or Babyface.
And you needed to pay at least $250 an hour to book a real studio.
Thatâs why record labels had everything on lock and why rappers with dope money, were the only ones making independent records and getting record deals.lol
Dope!!
I feel you! Back in the early 2ks I bought a Triton for $500! Couldn't sleep on such a deal. It was from an engineer named Studio Ton (E40, 2 Pac, etc). Back then I was working at a cafe and just starting to gig. Man time flies. Great keyboard for the lab and live gigs.
great video, as always bolo with the right vibe, dont feel guilty at all for getting stuff you want and can afford
Thanks!
You are COLD... how you making beats like that I can't even cope, its too much. You are a sick producer seriously. God bless man
Thanks đđŸ
It sounds pretty good. You really know your stuff.
Man this beat is so dope. Itâs got that late 2000s vibe with a modern twist đđŸ
Thanks
@@BoloDaProducer no doubt mane đȘđŸ
Dang, that mug sound good! Crispy and futuristic âš
Thanks
Love this video! Great job, keep it up!
Got mine last week feel more creative It does force you to slow down
Letâs go!!
Wow, real dope. I actually have the original Krome workstation that came out in 2012, amazing keyboard
Dope!!!

Very dope sounding man
Itâs all good man.., hardware will always have its advantages. Nothing wrong with being a gear junkie.
Nice work
Sounds good brotha!
That beat was outstanding!
Thanks
BoLooooooo! You had to get it! I feel you. I just did the same. I'm a gear head too. I'm a maschine user, but when that retro addition MPC came out you know what i HAD to do! Lol.
Great video, Great channel. đđŸ
I still thinking about getting the retro MPC
@@BoloDaProducer i got a sneaky feeling they are gonna do a retro design for the X.
Way back in the day, I had an Ensoniq ESQ 1, a DX7 (you canât go wrong w/ FM synthesis), and Korg M1. Today, Iâm still using hardware while everyone else is going w/ MIDI controllers, which I totally understand why.
Bolo strikes again! #MoreGear ay man do what your heart desires we got yo back
Thanks!!!
You are the man.
Thanks
Maaaan my ninja dat shit FIRE! đ„đ„đ„đ„đ„đđđđ
I got the same one..and love it
Dope!!
Man Bolo Hardware 4 Life My Dude !!
Yessir
I love mines. Had to get it. Been using korg since the korg triton le.
Yessir
Really dope getting first hard sight on a legend! Keep dropping these videos! im on studio 4 right now and i hate not being able to use third party vsts! I will be switching to 5/maybe artist.
Yessir
âHi. My name is Bolo, and, Iâm a GEAR JUNKIE!â
Man I just bought a Presonus Atom knowing I didnât need it LOL! Weâre all guilty to a certain degree.
Lol
0 dislikes. exactly how EVERY bolo video should be! even tho he doesnât care lol
đȘđŸđȘđŸđȘđŸ
That made me laugh. I also have G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) and just bought the same keyboard. I don't play WHAT you play but this keyboard is going to be a great addition to the stack. I have had it for about 24 hours and already I know it will do WAY more than I need it to. So as I explore and find things out (like when a horn sound is an octave too high - how do I drop it an octave. I know how to do it on my old Ensoniq. I just have to learn how to speak Korg.) I am going to love this thing!! I heard a lot of me while I listened to you.
Nice job đđ
Thanks
Good keyboard-I have the krome ex88 and the. FA 07 roland
Come on man!!! Pshh... that Jupiter though!!!!!
Nice beat.
Thanks
We both gear heads,dope video...
đ„đ„đ„
Thanks
Thank you!! You have have finally shown me that playing musicians can play and record with the MPC... no one shows that.. for that I thank you!!! Can you please find the time to do a video instructing how to play and record my keyboards in my MPC X using piano and Rhodes like sounds in the MPC X (as you did in this video) for my hip hop neo soul rnb ... and how to get more piano and elecpiano sounds in it PLEASe
Thanks, Iâll see about making that video
as a worship keyboardist i will definitely be looking into this
Itâs a cool piece of gear
(*whispers*) Yamaha.
Only want it cuz korg has the best lead synth sounds
I feel you, someway with all things electronics lol.
Do they have a vst version of this keyboard, also canât wait for the drum kit. I use your first two all the time.
I thought for a non existing reason that SO wasn't made to make beats (Maybe because all the producers I know use Studio One to produce metal/rock). Seeing you making some really good beats using this DAW made me wanna try beat making. Thank you!
Thanks
Man keep that x , I was mad at akai for a long time didnât buy a product from them for years , broke down an got the live 2 last week ainât got to it yet . Thinking of about opening a studio , tight work on that beat , done made me bust out the axiom 25
đ„đ„đ„
Bolo is like the big homie
Thanks lol
Dude ... I already have 4 keyboards and just like you I had get me another one like these (an 88 keys Krome EX) after i promised myself to stop buying extra gear.
And you know what's funny, I'm a bass player with way too many basses ... I'm not the main keyboard player in my band !
I know the feeling, I guess I'm just as bad a gear junky ... ;-)
Mine will be delivered this week.
Love your video bro.
You my friend got Gas! Lol
Thanks đȘđŸ
Yes, young blood. That is the way I made music back in 1987...
đ those Korg workstations very addictive soundscape. The Trinity the Triton Karma Kronos đ€Ż no doubt yes hardware will always be my mainstay, as for the taking equipment facts as a DJ crates of records and JBL's in a SUV praying the shocks and springs held up.
I always will be the Yamaha Motif Preacher in my own house of sounds. But as we know limited resources add to the greatest Creativity. I use to carry my MPC to the bathroom with me lol
Respect and Peace Bolo.
Iâm a Korg guy so I had to order one. Itâs affordable enough so I had to. Now Iâm complete. I got m50, 2 kross, Roland fantom, Yamaha mx49. And lord knows what else. Korg x5d Korg micro X Korg x50. Couple of Casios cause AIX is crazy. 5 MPCs. No more trips to guitar center for međđ
Donât feel bad Bolo, if I had the money I would buy one too.
Youâll get there
Korg is DOOOPE! I want the New Nautilus!
I do want to check it out
Im glad i still have my korg micro x and the funny thing it's in the orange case under the bed
Sounds warmer and fuller. Not like some VSTÂŽs
Gear junkies make THE WORLD GO âROUND!! đ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„łđ„ł
this is sick. the keyboard into the MPC is good content. can you sample yourself playing and add effects and cut it like you would any other sample?
Yesterday was "Do it like Bolo" Day. I got 2 Workstations for the price of one new: Bought a used Korg Krome Ex and a used Roland FA 06. Together for less than 1200 Bugs... ;-)
You should keep it
Hahahah đ i dont feel so bad for coming home with it today thanks #gearjunkie
Yâall want more beat making videos??
You make it so hard for a brother to save money, I must have that key board . I'm really not a plug-in guy anyway
đȘđŸđȘđŸđȘđŸ
Never used a key board on my beats, you just broke it down for me , I strictly chop an sample ,thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Man I thought u was rocking the Roland joint. Which one u like best with Studio One @bolo
New Drum Kit đ„ Coming Soon!!! Subscribe Comment and Turn on Post Notifications đ„đ„đ„đ„
I scooped a 25key akai mpc mk3 mini. My First peice of hardware, and i can't imagine creating without hardware now.
You have any solid resell sites I should look through for some solid deals? South GA here.
đ
đ„đ„
Is the case metal like the Nautilus or Plastic like the Kross 2? Thanks man seems a more affordable alternative to a Fantom 06 or Yamaha MODX6
I remember taking hardware everywhere Ahahahahahahaha those were the floppy disc dayz đ. But, yo...thatâs always my point to producers! I love that. Limitations help. Look at madlib. Look at dilla. Those were the SP-303 and Boss 202. Now that 303 had some LIMITS (and crazy dope compression). Bruh making me wanna buy a fuggin korgđ€đ€šđđđâđ€
Hardware gang!!!
Yep!!!
Would you recommend this or the triton extreme when it comes to the synths lead
Bolo đ I had 2 get it.đ
Had to
đđđBolow still fighting the 90s. I was looking for a Motif rack lol.
I had one a while back đđ
Does it come with solid drum sounds?
I'm getting back into making beats, its been so long last keyboard I had was a Kord TR-61...Next up I'm getting a MPC..I prefer gear but i also be using logic also
Still got my korg TR-61 it still knock!! Got the classic triton strings and leads in it that i still use today. I also have the MPC 2000xl and the mpc live 2.
@@teemanz2264 I ended getting a krome 61, but I'm gonna get a DAW. Basically it'll be used as a controller so I wasted my money lol shouldve got a midi
@@Neptunejc you should look at the live2. Coming from making beats on the workstations, 2000xl. Its a DAW standalone with sounds and sampling!! The possibilityâs are endless. And you can use it with a computer if you want. The technology on it is crazy. I dont think i will need anymore gear for a while.
Quick question do you think a Roland phantom g 6 is a good keyboard
I definitely feel you fam. I use to hate it when my homies be like, "Hey bruh, and when you come down, bring your MPC 2000XL with you, or bring your Roland XP50 with you. They never understood, that stuff was in the thousands back in the day, and you just can't be hauling stuff like that around.đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
True!!
The XP to the MP cold demo, I had the XP80 and the XL and now Iâm about to buy em back lol...
Which do you like better? The FA or Krome?
Just copped the Krome and connected it to MPC One via USB midi. Using line out not getting any audio? Any ideas why?
Is there a link to buy the board?
Studio one gang in the house
Yep
đ„đ„đ„. How do I import your drum kit into pro tools
Ctfu aye yo...swear u n me be on that had to get it ish....i was gonna get that one as well but settled on the juno instead. Funny thing i still want the krome but i think ima go after the nautilus. Keep banging
đȘđŸđȘđŸđȘđŸ
HI i am using MAC 10.16 i cannot find krome EX midi drivers help please
I'm a gear junkie too đđ. Bought a Juno DS a few months back just because. I did not need it but got it anyway lol
Lol I feel ya!
You literally have an updated version of the classic 90s/2000s MIDI studio. An Akai MPC, a Korg keyboard and a Roland keyboard. If you had those 3 things you could make music for any genre.
True!!
Bolo, I cannot find any of your ios beats ?? Where can I find them??
Iâm plotting on a Krome or Nautilus myself bro
I saw this video when you first posted it a month ago. Shortly after you posted it, I walked into my local Guitar Center intending to take a closer look at the the Akai Force as I was considering buying it (and I did eventually) but was completely captivated by the new Korg Nautilus!!!! It was the sound and the synth engines that sold me, especially the electric pianos...not just that, but .EVERY SOUND. And the drums KNOCK TOO!!! I found out it's basically a Kronos with a few fewer features. But the sound engine is retained, except for Karma. I traded my Yamaha CS6X and my old Triton Rack sound module in and got the Nautilus 61 and couldn't be happier.
I have a question for you. Have you ever played a Kronos or Nautilus? If so, how do the sound and features of the Krome compare to the Kronos?
Bolo check out the mix efx for studio one
Will do!!
I like grabbing gear also and im just a beginner engineer but just to mix my own vocals really. I upgraded my home studio equipment from the PC all the way down to the xlr cables. And was browsing hard earlier for more. But i had to tell myself a hundred times WHY would i do that?
I stopped buying hardware workstation keyboards since I sequence in the DAW these days. I think rack mount hardware synths are perfect for integrating with you DAW sequencer in a hybrid hardware synth/soft synth setting. I already own the classic Fantom XR. I'm about to sell my classic 18 year old MOTIF ES6 keyboard and swap it out for the rack version to install in my Argosy console desk. I don't play keys in the church anymore so time to retire the MOTIF keyboard and narrow it down to just one midi controller.
Dope! I love my argosy halo desk, only wish I could hide wires better
@@BoloDaProducer Yeah the build quality of what Argosy offers is unmatched with an industrial sleek design constructed of a steel metal frame body and MDF wood built like a battle tank that will last several decades. I think that's why you see so many Argosy console desks in a lot of Mixing Rooms and Professional Control Rooms as an industry standard that's starting to replace the larger format SSL and Neve consoles since the large format analog consoles are phasing out In favor of Hybrid Mixing as analog consoles are getting smaller cut down size. It's a good thing I bought my Halo before the price spike as it's now $2K with taxes for the base model with everything going up.
Hey man. Do you still use kKeyboard Workstations 4r your tracks !!
Thanks Bolo !
Yep!
I wish korg would get into MPE
check out Geo Synth presets for the Krome, almost went ahead and bought it because his patches are so ill
Ok thanks!!!
How did you record your Krome into the MPC?
Nice video man, you should have gone for the Nautilus or Kronos ;)
Still might
Cracking up ..i do the same thing, i am a gear junkie to, my mouth says no but my wallet say get it ..(LOL)
Lol
Were you recording loops or using midi? Midi is way more powerful because you can go back and adjust the sounds without having to re-record 16 times to see if it works. You can just tweak Your sounds to your hearts content. Not to mention quantizing would fix up all that sloppiness :-)
