Made this today and it was amazing! I also added some Oyster sauce. Some tips
*Mix the honey, soy and vinegar separately
*Take the chicken out after frying and use the same pan to make the sauce. Add the chicken, toss and serve

Tried this recipe. You have to dip the chicken into battered egg before putting it in the flour. So that the flour doesn’t come off when you fry it. I fried it in oil. Because I didn’t want to keep adding butter when frying the chicken. I only added butter when adding Soy Sauce, Honey & White Vinegar. Really good recipe. My family loves it!!!
Actually, the point of the flour is to semi cook on the chicken, it's not meant to stay on. It's meant to thicken the sauce.

I made this recipe tonight with curry rice. It tasted AMAZING! My boyfriend loved it too! & it complemented the flavors of the rice very well. I did put a little twist on the recipe however. I add garlic powered when I was seasoning the chicken, used salted butter (didn’t have unsalted), 2tsp of minced garlic & added 1/2 tbsp more of butter than the recipe called for. Overall 10/10, will definitely be making this again. Thank you!

just tried this and it was amazing love the recipe!!
what i would do differently though is slightly cook the flour covered chicken and remove it from the pan, make the sauce and then add the chicken back in to fully cook.

10 star recipe. I had chicken breasts and they usually come out dry if I make anything other than fajitas. Tried this recipe and my 20 year old son ate the shit out of it. I made white rice and green beans with toasted almonds to go with it. After putting the chicken on the serving plate I sprinkled them with leftover chopped green onions. I'm looking forward to fighting over the leftovers tomorrow. I doubt I'll win. Thanks for the recipe

I highly recommend making the sauce separately. I accidentally burned the sauce when trying to make it at the same time in the same dish.

Salt and pepper
1/4 cup (60g) flour (Note 1)
3.5 tbsp (50g) unsalted butter (or 2 1/2 tbsp olive oil)
2 garlic cloves , minced
1.5 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or white or other clear vinegar)
1 tbsp soy sauce , light or all purpose (Note 2)
1/3 cup (90g) honey (or maple syrup)

it says '12 minute chicken recipe' for a reason. no one's stopping u from seasoning ur chicken beforehand
I think extra seasoning would interfere with the flavour of the sauce.

Try using a thicker bottomed pan, maybe lower heat, and keep stirring. Sugary things burn easily.
