Thanks good video. I have bad sound in my motor too when I go upphill so I think I take it apart and do a service with greas (with the right one). You can notice that you know when there is a service to be done because the motor is not that strong anymore and it takes more energy.

Hey RoManiac- You've got to get a spoke wrench and do something about the spoke tension in that rear wheel. I can tell just by looking that those spokes are becoming WAY too loose. Maybe take it to a bike shop and have it looked at if you aren't good at wheel work.

You right, the motor hub gears need to be lubricated reguraly, and by the way the gears are replacable, i just replaced mine from aliexpress website, and ebay have them too, because the clutch just stock, but the problem is you need to buy the right size gears by measuring diameters of the gear assembly, by using special diameter tool measurment to get accurate numbers or you can use regular measurment tabe like i did but it is a hight probability to ge the wrong size small.or biger.

Supposedly this takes some of the strain off the motor and may increase the life of the motor. I was recommended to do this with my electric bike and now have ridden it for 8 years. My meter shows over 19,000 miles on it, but I'm doubting it as police speed trap shows my speed at about 4mph below my indicated speed. Really not sure which is correct.

I know you said the motor was making noise and I think it's new bike, so what makes you think it needed more grease than what was there from the factory? I know grease is good but to much is bad. Can't tell from the video if those holes behind the gears are open to the windings but if so, slinging excess grease thru them would not be good. As long as they are sealed from each other (windings/gears) seems like something I'll be keeping an eye on. I just got the same bike and you assembly video was a great help and time saver. The supplied instructions are pretty useless

Wild Bill i have 3 Green Light Cycle Urban Ryder 26" bikes. their not bad, all bikes have well over 3000km and only one battery has crapped out and one motor but the motor is possibly fixable.. use them daily in the summer time and even thru most days of the salty Canadian winters. overall decent bike but company is terrible when it comes to parts and standing behind warranty. they told me battery could be fixed in 8 months its been a year since i sent it to them lol only maintaince ive ever done or do is test the battery and clean the terminals.. that noise thats this bike makes when u give it gas at a stand still makes me cringe.. thats happened to me twice or three times in the entire life of my bike and everytime i hear it, i cringe and let off the gas. Usually only happened in the trails at a slow spot where i was trying to use all motor to get up a small hill instead of helping it along by peddling either way not a good sound and potentially a manufacturing mistake if your bike is brand new and makes this noise.

I order my parts on Google. JUST HAPPY they still work. Alot of servicing needed to keep bike it good shape. FORKS gotta stay clean, chain greased, tires filled (it's a bitch when they pop), error codes,.. still better then alot of ebikes out there but they owe it to China. Maybe I'll do a review video one day of the 3 bikes I got and the shape they are in after years of use

I got the ancheer 20 inch folding bike with disk brakes (bike model : AM001908). My hub is labeled : CZJB01-36V20" 171001512 . I think the hub motor is made by the "Changzhou Jiabo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd." I'd like to upgrade my 36V 15amp generic controller to a 48 volt one (id also upgrade battery to 48V obviously) so I can gain RPM and top speed. So I'm trying to figure out if the hub can take 360Watts of power without too much heat. Whats the label number on on you hub ? I'm trying to figure for exact specs (max watts, volts... gear reduction ratio, etc) and potential need for spare pieces etc in the future..

I have a E Bike with a similar motor from Bafang. I use silicone grease because it has no oil in the grease which can absorb and pollute the rest of the motor. Also silicone grease is not aggressive to plastic.
I think the white grease originally in the motor is something similar, but no standard grease made of mineral oil.
