How to judge where the rock will end up and how to communicate that to the skip (number system) FOLLOW ME Twitter: @jamiesinclair21 Instagram: @jamiesinclair21 Music: bensound.com
Do you have any experience curling with wheelchair curlers or stick curlers? I find it to be a huge dis-advantage because I can't use the stop watch to help determine the weight. The only thing I use in that situation is how fast the sweepers are walking next to the stone. I also listen for the crackling sound as the stone breaks new pebble to help determine if the ice is going to be fast or slow. P.S. I love your videos.
Toycollector33 yeah, unfortunately I don't have much experience with that but by the sounds of it you are doing all the right thing! Keep up the good work!
I would say you could change it every 10 games. After that you can definitely watch them (especially if you have a hardline broom). Then you could use that pad for another 10 games. After that tho the material gets really worn out (i.e. Soft) and you aren't as effective. Ideally you want the pad to be clean and kinda "sharp" that way it digs into the ice better.
They are talking "long times". The time it takes a rock to cross one hogline to the next. For example, most takeouts are either "normal" which takes 9 seconds and .50 milliseconds (aka 9.5), or "control" which takes 10 seconds and .50 miliseconds (aka 10.5). Draws on the other hand take around 14 seconds.
Well done. Once again, I must say Well Done. Thanks, Jamie!
Now i know what the numbers are there calling mean. Thanks Jamie!
I like the number thing ... very practical
Great video!!
Breanna Sproule thanks!
1:26 she meant to say 3 seconds and 75 centiseconds or 750 milliseconds.
I have trouble lining up a rock to land on the outer ring of the house. I’m either way too far out, or inside. Any tips?

@@CurlUpWithJamie can you tell me if you are apart of team USA please
How often should a recreational curler change their broom pad? Is changing based on pad wear, dirt, all of the above?

What’s the dual number system I hear when a skip asks for a 10/2 or 12/3 or whatever?

This is weird 😅
