- Forget those premium Broadway ticket prices! We've got Hugh Jackman, Broadway's biggest star. We spend a half-hour with the versatile and popular entertainer. Jackman talks about his love for Broadway, his sellout show, "Hugh Jackman - Back on Broadway" and its meaning for him now and in the future. He also discusses his upbringing in a single-parent home in Australia and his beginnings in musical theater.
Taped: 12-16-11
Theater Talk is a series devoted to the world of the stage. It began on New York television in 1993 and is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
The program is one of the few independent productions on PBS and now airs weekly on Thirteen/WNET in New York and WGBH in Boston. Now, CUNY TV offers New York City viewers additional opportunities to catch each week's show. (Of course, Theater Talk is no stranger to CUNY TV, since the show is taped here each week before its first airing on Thirteen/WNET.)
The series is produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation and is funded by contributions from private foundations and individuals, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts.

Hugh jackman is awesome!
He's so real, thats what I love about him most. So honest and passionate about what he does not like the typical actor. They all just flaunt their money and fame as if there some kind of "Super Human" not him though. He's just different, in a good way :)
I'll always be a fan! And hope to see him in broadway
I love his down to earth honesty and so energetic and positive
I love Hugh jack an fantastic voice great personality he has it all👍🇬🇧👍🇬🇧👍
I went up to NYC to see him perform this show and he was wonderful in it. Definitely worth the money and time.
Sounds great, I hope he does some more B'way. I was unable to see him in Boy from Oz, cuz I had no money and was pregos with my 3rd child. But now, we're doing much better and would be able to make it work! Hugh is fantastic and great on stage!
Hugh's father is a very nice man and supportive to whatever Hugh is keen to do.
I agree. Everyone knows it was filmed, it's where they get the cuts for the various tv shows these guys are on. I know I'd love to have Boy from Oz and this show as well. Jackman is a great performer and should be seen.
I'd kill, not really, but you know what I mean, to have a DVD of Hugh Jackman in Boy from Oz. I think now in 2017, 16 years after it was on B'way, he might be too old to play Peter Allen....and do the Movie version. Anyway, There are some youtubes out there of most of the songs with Hugh preforming them.
I can't wait till he goes back to theater I'm dying to see him live
On Broadway. Music Man, 2022. :)
I love it,one of my favorute actors,he is great !
his shows are awesome.
THE BEST
I wish they had his Beauty and the Beast on DVD.
Aaawwww now I wanna watch The Man From Snowy River again...what a good movie (and he just barely mentioned it haha)!
Back to the actual video, though, I would love to see him perform live! I wanted to see The Boy From Oz SO much!
Great movie. I remember my best friend's father rented the video and we were like "what's this? I don't want to watch this movie" and we did and we loved it.
Yeah, they did it with Victor Victoria on Broadway, otherwise I would never have seen it!
Hugh Jackman fans would make it a best seller!
I wish The Boy From Oz was on DVD, sounds like it was a great show
