    In this video, Dr. John Oswalt insists that the view of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament illustrates the continuity between the two testaments. The Holy Spirit is given to empower our lives so that we may be holy as God is holy and so fulfill the new covenant he has for his people.

    How beautiful to hear the Word of God expounded so meaningfully. (Rom 10:15 .....How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!)

      put on the slippers of peace. Know that if you wash someone's feet, your hands are washed by doing so. And if no one washes your feet in return, Jesus himself will wash your feet.
      So yes indeed, those feet are beautiful!

    I have such a deep knowledge about God, and yet I feel like I have only learned .0001% of what HE has available to teach me.

    Isa 63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?

    Also, that stating that the Hebrews had no education is incorrect.

    All of us receive the Holy Spirit in the new Covenant to overcome our divided selves and to walk in the righteousness of Christ by producing the fruit of love and the holiness we are created for.

    Finally someone explains that the word "Spirit' can refer God's and man's spirit. Romans 7 and 8 have been grossly misunderstood due to the translators capitalizing the word "spirit" when it should have been lower case, referring the nature of man. We walk by the NEW NATURE, JUST LIKE CHRIST did as a man for 30 years. The Holy Ghost has come to be the finger or POWER OF GOD and to teach us about being a NEW CREATION and what really happened to us when we received a NEW NATIURE. He is our TEACHER ultimately...not man. If a human teacher doesn't lead us to THE TEACHER than he doing us a disservice. This is why DECEPTION and division is occurring in the body of Christ.

    Amazing! This is what Paul was speaking of in Romans 7. With my mind i know the Law is good and i want to obey but there is something within me that resists and allows me not. Their nature had death working through it and could not know God other than through His maifested power in the natural realm. Romans 7 verse 1 says, " I SPEAK TO THOSE WHO KNOW THE LAW"! This is not about a born again believer struggling with his flesh. Read the Word in context and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and we will stop with all the divisiveness within the body of Christ. There is ONE SPIRIT AND ONE TRUTH! Most christians can't even agree about the revelation in the book of 1 Corinthians and it was written to BABIES ON MILK!

    If only key select leaders received the Holy Spirit, how was everyone regenerated in the old testament?

    • @owoeyepaul8995
      @owoeyepaul8995 Před 3 měsíci

      They were all with the Saving Spirit of God, but not all with the Baptismal Spirit of God. Only few of them had that, like Moses, like Elijah, etc. For the N.T people, as promised by God in the O.T, in Joel 2:28, all flesh can now receive the Spirit of God

    • @francsiscog
      @francsiscog Před 3 měsíci

      So throughout history there have been two ways of salvation, one with baptism and one without?

    • @owoeyepaul8995
      @owoeyepaul8995 Před 3 měsíci

      @@francsiscog no not talking about salvation ways here at all. I just said both O.T and N.T people were genuinely saved by the Lord, and so had the Spirit of God, but only few O.T people had the Spirit of God baptizing them, and it was a prophecy that was for the N.T people, as in Joel 2:28.

  • @michaelreviewseverything745

    Good message, however, I would instead agree that the Old Testament and New Testament are very Jewish books, not Christians. Yes they are Messianic, but have nothing to do with Martin Luther
