Mod author here!
Just wanted to point out a couple things.
I have no timeline, as this is the first time I have ever done anything to this extent, and it has been quite the learning curve.
The prime mover audio in game that you hear currently, is not what it will come with, this is placeholder audio until I can either get an agreement to use someone elses audio, or, I have a few GP38s I can get audio from myself, right now, its looking like I will have to do it myself, so I am saving up for an audio recorder to do it all, as phone recordings are less than ideal
I know many people are excited for this mod, Just give me time, it will be done eventually haha
No worries! The mod gets done when it gets done. It looks like you put a lot of effort into it already, so we'll wait with baited breath for it to arrive. No rush!
I will patintly wait for this my dude!
Pardon me asking is the engine heat displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius?
Hello Beeman, love the work you are doing. I have offered my audio of GP38-2s a couple of times to you, recorded with high quality DSLR microphones. Some of it is on my channel, I have much more not uploaded yet including some sound loops I created.
@@robertbalazslorincz8218 Engine heat is not displayed, just like in real life, there is no temperature gauge (some have them on the water pump but I dont have it implemented)
You have to be very hard on the locomotive to make it overheat, basically notch 8 5 mph or less for more than about 15 minutes will do it.
The video says its based on different RPM levels but its more influenced by amps, more amps, the hotter the engine gets.
I would love to see the Wide nose CN GP38-2w
i love the intro on this. it's going to be so awesome to have some more diesels in railroader. i like the gp38s
So exited
cant wait
this mod semes awesome i might get railroader when this mod comes out since there are hardly any diesels in this game.
DT & I was the last thing I was expecting to see while scrolling through CZcams, It's hard enough to find Detroit Toledo and Ironton model trains I wouldn't have expect it in a video game
I have a feeling we'll be seeing alot of mods like this even though they don't fit the time-era for the game. Hoping we'll get some more modern cars too
Question on the air flow gauge... shouldn't that run closer to 0 CFM once the brakes are charged? Otherwise that wouldn be indicating a pretty severe leak once the pipe is charged.
Looks absolutely fantastic so far!
I love what has been done but I got to ask, will there be a GP40 someday?
this looks amazing! looks very realistic! engine sounds sound fantastic!
This looks amazing as hell, can't wait to use it. It would be amazing if you can do a Southern Pacific variant with the full light package. 😁
The mod author has mentioned plans to do those variants but there is no timeline for any of that yet.
What paint schemes are going to come with it? Also will there be any High Hood variants?
There is no set plan for which paint schemes are going to be included.
There is a plan for a high hood eventually but it will be a while.
we want csx and bnsf
TRUNK
Ain’t it grand?
Would their be other horns to choose from by chance?
There are mods that already to allow you to do so.

What's the song?

I believe its The Brothers Bayou
The Brothers Bayou by Appalachian Anarchy
now can one use all this fancy scripting to give us better steam and firing sim for steam locos :P
Would be nice if some modder out there were to make an SD40 mod or some Lima and Hamilton switcher, yk like a 750-800 HP Switcher
where is the tunnel at?
That would be the Cowee tunnel. It's between Dillsboro and Whittier.
@@TheWNCRR ok thx also cant wait for the steamers
@@TheWNCRR could there also be a runaway train skin? for a gp38 since its the best we are gonna get for rn
@@MVF_2024- The current plan is to focus on real world paint schemes rather than fantasy ones.
@@TheWNCRR ok tho maybe the arr alaska railroad where its from
Cool mod. Just an opinion here, but the Geep 38 seems a little late for the era the railroad is set in.
It is, however, at the end of the day, it’s down to the end user to decide what they’d like to use for motive power. Not everyone wants to stick to “period accurate” equipment.
I can see an argument for one as a sort of “End Game” locomotive.. or perhaps If you’re trying to run a “tourist/museum” save with friends.
Different strokes for different folks, I don't take issue with that. Personally would like to see a few more vintage diesels as mods or official releases, as there was a greater variety of makes and models. Alco, Baldwin, Fairbanks Morse, EMD, GE.
I would like to point out that arch bar trucks and wood frame/truss rod cars aren't period accurate or intermixable with 1950s era equipment either, and those come in the stock game.
@@AEP817 Can we have our Niagras back? (Joke)
@@TheWNCRR They made the Central look old fashioned. The Central is a modern road looking towards the future.
