A part of me has to wonder if Nintendo specifically coded bears and an exception so they wouldn't take damage from being frozen after watching TehCactusPlant's videos with bears in BoTW. Probably not, but I do like the idea.

Yeah, I figured she wouldn't make it to the Depths - the game does *extremely* aggressive memory swaps while you're falling down the chasms, yeeting anything overworld-specific out of resident memory (or, put another way, there's a list of things that can never ever exist in the Depths, to open up memory space for all the Depths-y stuff). Stuff like the boss re-fights! Col-Bear-a?

If you’re trying to get a bear safely into the depths, you might want to try the sloped entrance above the construct factory, unlocked during the Mineru quest. sure, you won’t be able to take the normal entrance into the labyrinth structures, but it’s something.
16:35 footage is Tobio's Hollow, the sloped entrance in question. It still has a hole before entering. Altitude 0048 still has a depths transition which aggressively unloads all "Overworld" entities which all chasms have. As I mentioned there, moving a bear to the depths is not the problem, it's how the game deletes "overworld" entities from memory when transitioning into the depths state. Horses, bears, stalhorses, enemies, non-glued devices and so much more are all unloaded when crossing this trigger as they are not flagged to exist in both(unlike dragons or falling tablets designed to exist in both).
Standing at Altitude 0047 in said hollow and jumping as seen at 16:26, swapping between the overworld and depths quickly actually freezes the game for a while so it can catch up.

My immediate thought is the entrance to the depths in Faron from the (SPOILERS) Quest, as that's a gradual incline with a final drop rather than a straight shot down. I know people use that spot for 1.1.2 Duping a lot as the engine gets buggy when you shoot an arrow from 155.

I bet you anything I know why they changed the mount respawn. It’s cuz there is one single quest where a stable NPC wants you to show him a riding animal that is not a horse. He is in a place with no convenient rideable non-horse animals. So I bet the save and respawn animal mechanics were changed to allow casual players to not want to cry when completing that quest

if you go back to the old man's shack on the platu that has been taken by the yiga, dressed as a yiga they will let you in. one of the asks you to kidnap another mushroom hat person to start making more yiga cloths.
