I refuse to patronage Chik-Fil-A due to their feelings/treatment towards/of the LBGT+ community
@@mr.fartman watch mojo didn't ask if you are kid
14:56 not an acronym... I've heard it called an "initialism" *shrugs* An acronym is when the initials of a group of words can be read as a word (e.g. LASER, RADAR, YOLO, FOMO). If the initials are just something that shortens the name, it's not an acronym (FBI, NSA, MPH, even LOL).
I remember finding a onion ring in my cup of fries from Burger King
So if it was a fraud perpetrated against them, then Wendy's never needed to apologize.
MOJO is liberal.
I think they were apologizing to the other customers who witnessed the mishap? Either way, the person who tried to get money out of Wendy's should be the one to pay and hopefully got charged with defamation.
no Canadian lol@@trashtalker420
Their spot should have been filled by the Burger King Pokémon recall.
@@franchescopye6551 those terms are synonymous
Why the hell would Wendys have to apologize, let alone take steps to make sure an event that never happened in the first place never happens again?
Thank you! generally an apology comes after an investigation has taken place and the company is indeed found negligent. #19 shouldn't be on the list at all.
@@MreprightThat's 2023 Watch Mojo for ya 😵💫
Arbys trolling Pepsi was epic 😂.
Think they ended their relationship with them didn't they?
I thought that one was actually awesome.
They should put more effort into not having their meat taste like plastic
Wendy's didn't need to apologize, the customer lied.
Exactly!!!
Agreed. That entry was all just filler.
What about the chik fil a customer for demanding whomever is responsible face consequences- How you gunna be mad at someone using the n word when your kid thought that was his name till he was 3? It’s all ridiculous.
Neither Wendy's nor Taco bell needed to apologize in the first place. Wendy's knew that it was a scam and Taco bell has, as a restaurant, the right to change the menu as they pleases.
Being from the UK I can tell you it’s been a hard few years. Between Brexit in 2016, the great KFC shortage of 2018, and the queen passing in 2022. Things just haven’t been going well
Thing will get better
Here's a fact about Wendy's chili meat. (Being a former employee) The meat is chopped up by the employees at the restaurant with the cooked meat patties that is "over cooked" for customers. We used washed spatulas to chop the meat until it's fine enough to be used for the chili. With that being said. They shouldn't have to say sorry.
That actually sounds like a great way to avoid food waste. Good on them!
Is that why the chili meat is sometimes dry? Well, at least it's a good reason.
Actually yes. There are some burnt enough that is dry sadly.
I'm not the person in my family who orders the chili, that's my mom.
The Pepsi commercial from Arby’s was hilarious even more so when I understood the sarcasm in the voice. They were basically saying sorry we to so long that you had to call us out, new commercial ideas are hard.
Why did Wendy's need to apologize? The report was a scam anyway.
I wonder if Krusty Burger would do something like this
“Trust me they would and a whole lot more “😭
Or the krusty krab from spongebob 😂😂
I know! The Helen Lovejoys - like many of the complainers listed in the "incidents" - would wail: "Oh! Won't somebody PLEASE think about the children!" Haha!
Krusty Burger's version of the McRib is made of some invertebrate with a lot of legs. I am afraid to ask what is in the burger itself.
“I heartily endorse this service or product.” 🤡
Some of these are a bit unfair to the companies because it was their suppliers that made the mistake. These suppliers sell to multiple food chains and restaurants.
30 people got food poisoning at Denny's restaurant in Florida in 1999, and I was on of 12 people that got food poisoning from bad shrimp in an Outback restaurant . All of us got free meals from both places for a year. The last story is horrific. No apology can ever fix that. That day was a start of the most evil events to ever have happened
But that Pepsi commercial from Arby's was genius, though...
10:30 This one seems ridiculous. I was in NH (aka in the New England area) in 2018 when this Super Bowl happened, while in college. I'm not into sports, but I cheered on the Eagles for fun while watching it in a cafe on campus (I'm from NJ). I was literally one of 3 people cheering them on.
In all seriousness, who gives that big of a stink over a sports logo on a cup you're gonna throw out after you're done drinking your shit? 🤦♀️
Butthurt Patriots fans need to cope.
Go birds.
The KFC FCK apology shouldn't be on a list of bad apologies, imo. That was great. lol
The Pepsi and Arby’s commercial great, funny…. Here you go!!….😂😂😂
Burger King woman one was priceless, I was in disbelief when I saw the tweet before it was removed.
I remember hearing about that "footlong" Subway sandwich that wasn't 12 inches. Someone actually took the time to measure the sandwich? I've ordered footlong sandwiches myself and I would always eat them, not measure them.
turns out their actually half an inch off
@mattalan6618 So what? Sometimes buns shrink in the oven.
@@jimroscoviusand it does depend on if the person who baked the bread stretched it enough. coming from who used to work at subway
@@mattalan6618 No Bro, some were only 9".
A "class action" suit doesn't come from a single incident, there was a statistical study and NONE were 12".
Some of these things are patently ridiculous. I don’t understand why subway would have to apologize. They didn’t know Jared was a pervert. And the Starbucks employee asking a cop to leave and more to do with two idiots than an entire company. I don’t get it.
Starbucks yeah, but Subway received a serious complaint about Jared and ignored it, so they should apologize.
It said subway had complaints pryer but didn't take it seriously.
There was an episode of Black Mirror in which a pedophile (who was the protagonist in this episode) worked at a subway. I think it's called "Shut Up And Dance".
@nevaehhamilton3493, that episode is fire, had me and the fam shook at the end with the mom screaming on the phone, heartbreaking
Funny that after the Jared Fogle Subway controversy, they included a South Park clip for the second Burger King controversy. It's funny because Jared was in South Park in several episodes, the last episode he appeared having him being portrayed as a predator, as well as a boss in South Park The Fractured But Whole, again portrayed as a predator.
That Arby's Pepsi ad is the BEST thing on this list 🤣 I hope it was on tv a lot.
I don’t understand why Wendy’s should have apologized for defending themselves against a false claim.
How is number 19 a bad apology? THEY DID NOTHING WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE!
That's 2023 WatchMojo for you.
Notice how the most controversial ones weren’t in the US? Can take a lot from that. Namely how easily we want to overlook something as intimate as the food that’s being served to the public.
“Questionable adult material” haha! Jared Fogle’s material had no adults in it XD
Taco Bell has the wrong idea. People don't want less to choose from. They just want food that makes sense. Saying "we're done trying to be creative" doesn't make it more enticing
Who the hell goes to KFC for a coffee...?
So what exactly is Wendy's doing on this list? I'm not quite sure what they even did wrong.
My mother worked for Food Maker, Inc. in the 90's and she had drank the Jack in the Box Koolaid and was ranting about "the farce" daily. But she's the type to defend them to this day because of some weird sense of corporate loyalty.
I say DD had no reason to apologize. T-shirts and other promotional materials are made for BOTH teams in the final and the wrong ones are sent to charity. If you don't like it, don't go
That part with the Krispy Kreme doughts is an example of what happens when you're NOT fully taught history. Albeit that was in the UK and not the US (where the history happened), but there are certain aspects of human history that are taught internationally
Thanks Watchmojo...the Arby's one was the most hilarious I've seen all day.
It was definitely the best thing in this video 😂
I absolutely love Arby's and their advertisement campaign hi personally would have laughed my ass off if I were a suit from Pepsi
The Arby’s, Pepsi thing was hilarious 😂
It was so awkward when I was waiting in line at Krispy Kreme in white robes.
I demand that PepsiCo should apologize to whatever company owns Arby’s!!!
I am honestly surprised food poisoning isn't a more common thing in fast food. I work at dominos. I work my ass off every day to ensure we have a safe and clean environment, and make sure all food is fresh. But one person bot paying as much attention, could effect hundreds. We serve hundreds of pizzas a day. If something was to happen to the dough or cheese and we don't notice, it could effects hundreds of people. You have to be very careful in the food industry
Why would Wendy's need to apologize or make plans in the future to prevent something that didn't happen?
The Arby's Pepsi commercial is fucking hilarious. I definitely don't think it should have been added in a "Worst Apologies" list. It was just Arby's poking fun at itself for forgetting.
"A subway sandwich by any other length would taste as good.” Famous Subway fan Shakespeare
Great video 💯
In the defense of Arby's, if it weren't for forgetting about the second Pepsi ad, we never would've seen them have a mental breakdown.
aw, the arby's pepsi commercial is cute. Reminds me of that commercial they had during covid where they just reaired the commercial from last year, but scratched out a sandwich they no longer had in the background.
The same thing happened with Dunkin Donuts in April 2016. Chicago Blackhawks cups were delivered to St. Louis. The Blues were playing the Blackhawks in the first round of the playoffs. (The Blues won in 7)
I'm a Patriots fan as you can tell but the Cups with the Eagles logo is kind of funny. I mean it's not like you're going to keep the cup unless you're an Eagles fan.
I hate when police walk into Starbucks and stare at you like your the criminal for ordering a caramel frap and texting on your phone in silence 😂
Yeah, I hate seeing cops in restaurants, but complaining about it is a little out of hand if they're not doing anything.
I also hate seeing cops come after someone robbed me at a starbucks. Bunch of jerks.
@@zumis1011 Do you know who hates seeing cops? Criminals.
Subway pretty much said "sorry you measured"
As a Canadian, I find the 'english only' signs at Tim Hortons hilarious. Try going to a Quebec city restaurant and not speak french. You'd be lucky to get service, even if your server spoke english.
My dad once’s went a Arby’s that was out of rust beef 🥩 😅 not the same as KFC being out of chicken 🍗 but my dad still talks about it to this day
That jack in the box in the first shot was the one right up the street from my childhood home 😂
What were they thinking with that Krispy Kreme promotion?! 😂
Ok but the "FCK" of KFC is a class-A apology, why is that even on this list? Pure genius.
i take all corporate apologies with a grain of salt
It is graceful grief and sweet sadness to think of you, but in my heart, there is a kind of soft warmth that can’t be expressed with any choice of words.
Did someone at WM break up with you? What are you talking about?
I still haven’t eaten Subway since Jared and never will. They knew and they shouldn’t have survived that.
Chipotle....putting the E in E coli since 2019😂😂😂
The Krispy Kreme thing was HILARIOUS!!
I actually went to an Arbys once that was out of roast beef.
I worked for an Arby's when I was 18. It was not too uncommon to run out. We would start calling all the near by stores to see if we can grab a few roast. And sometimes we had to give them to the other stores.
During the 1 dollar roast beef sales it was really bad.
All apologies are never good, even after they said them, people still wanna hate them cause they have nothing to do in their lives.
I have a funny story relating to the custer's play on words joke a sonic. Sonic apologized about their use of some guy's name as a joke. In upstate NY there's a roadside custard store named "custard's last stand." A play on words based on a historical event involving him. There's a business named after this guy and one ad is too much for some people.
A cop goes in to a Starbucks to get a coffee how dare they lol
This list consists of things that are more scandals than apologies.
Horsemeat in our burgers???* I SAY NEIGH, SIR, NEIGH!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
Jared Fogle...definitely NOT a footlong 😂😂😂😂😂
Unpopular opinion: the breakfast waffle taco was a work of culinary genius and needs to be brought back immediately.
In such a soft and warm season, please accept my sincere blessing and deep concern for you.
A local alternative weekly did an annual Best Of issue and without fail Wendy's always won for best chili. They eventually wised up and stopped making selections based on a reader survey. Now they honor crappy stuff selected by the staff.
Every little thing offends everyone.
Oh, wow. What a load of pissant complaints.
That's the ultimate trolling from Dunkin Donuts 😂😂😂
I've never has Chipotle before, but I've always wanted to try it. Not anymore though, after watching this video!
The next time will be an eagle standing on the Patriots mascot 😂
Chipotle definitely made me sick years ago. I don’t remember what year it was, but it was so bad that I never ate there again. It felt too risky.
I came up with this quote for Starbucks.
“Starbucks is so not dope”
My parents loved it.
That’s insane. All jobs Iworked at in Winnipeg have menu different languages being used. Poor guys that’s beyond messed up ❤😢
Not just certain members of the team, the whole team!
What people should be upset about as well is the fact that a pregnant woman is drinking coffees
In a lot of these ppl are getting their undergarments in a knot for no good reason... common, grow a sense of humor and stop taking life so seriously... it's way to important to get offended so often. No wonder there are so many issues these days... ppl get insanely offended at the dumbest things.
I had a thing against Subway for awhile along time ago due to something that happens at one in a mall
That reporter at 1:19 certainly knows how to predict the future
That thumbnail is hilarious
This video is totally going to age well!!😂
To me, Wendy's Chili should not be considered edible as whatever burger sits too long on the grill to be served normally will become the product in question 😐
Taco bell breakfast: when you want to get your bathroom time started early and have no plans for the day and have extra loo paper in the house😂
Im sorry but i cant stop laughing at "racially insensitiv nugget tweets"
Krusty Krab would be closed if any of this would happen
Don’t apologise Wendy’s..
Amazing video Rebecca from watch mojo of the worst sorry from Fast Food restaurant ever, fantastic job.
lol Mojo be like excuse me Wendy’s you need to apologize to the perpetrators who falsely accused you of putting a finger in their chili. even though it was them who put the fake finger in the chili. you still need to apologize
There was no reason for Dunkin Doughnuts to apologize for the cup, Pats fans are children and should deal better
The Krispy Kreme Klub is so bad there’s no way they didn’t notice 😂
It happened in England. How much do you know about English culture?
Almost every single one of these entries with only a few exceptions is about the worst mistakes made by these companies and not worst apologies for said mistakes. They really should change the title of this video.
I don’t understand why Wendy’s was on this when it was a hoax. This is a ridiculous add
The jack in the box ecoli outbreak was the subject a forensic files episode
As a Sigma Hustler, I was deeply disappointed when the lawsuit against Wendy's was dropped for being "Fake". It was our 9/11 for those engaged in various hustles. So many dead rats, locks of hair and fake fingers that will never be used had to be burned and no longer could we get free food or large checks for not going to court.
I'm so glad I'm not famous because it's like being in the courtroom of public opinion every day of your life where you're being judged and you get no do-overs.
Where’s Taco Bell’s apology after getting criticism of how their food turns people’s butts into a volcano?
I’ve never eaten at Chipotle, and after their issues, I never will. 🤷🏼♀️
I love the Dunkin’ Donuts one. Funny!
The Sonic one is tone deaf. Don’t they run these things by other people?
There are times KFC won't have chicken where I live now 😂
